It’s never Christmas for me until I hear this song. It brings tears every year because it is so beautifully done. Lisa Layne you hit perfection here. No one can ever compare. Thank you for the joy you bring year after year with your performance.
@@ab8yy There is NO ONE LIVING OR DEAD who EVER topped LISA LAYNE's All I Want For Christmas. Thirty years at top five in the world for requested Christmas Songs is higher proof than 130 proof. Lisa Layne sang it for Vince Vance. She's the original. Take a big drink of that my friends.
Sounds just as good as the day you first recorded it many years ago. Look forward to hearing this every Christmas season. And, I sing it at karaoke. Miss seeing you and Andy and the gang. Would love to make it out to Louisiana for one of the shows sometime!

This song and Mary Did You Know by Kenny and Wynonna are two of my favorites, as well. Though, I do like Carrie Undwrwood's version of Mary Did You Know, as well.

The tears have come! This is the favorite Christmas song for myself and my beautiful late wife Judy! I love you, Judy! You are the "angel atop my tree"!! j
Wow, she sounds fantastic! What a gorgeous voice...and yes I agree she sounds just as good (if not better) than on the recording. This is one of my favorite Christmas songs!
Tellwut survey site member just posted this Fantastic song by Lisa Layne, this is the first time I ever heard her , my what an outstanding voice she has !!!

When a singer sounds as good live as what you heard on a studio recording you know that singer is good! The band sounds great, a bit more country than the studio recording but still very good for live. After all, it's Branson baby.
I heard this song several years ago - and it stuck. This woman (Lisa Layne) can sing!!!! This is one of my TOP 5 Christmas songs. I wonder what she would sound like with a better sound and band?

David Hatchel According to wikipedia, it was recorded in 1989 and re-released in 1993. It didn't chart until 1994. ""All I Want for Christmas Is You" is a Christmas song recorded by American novelty act Vince Vance & The Valiants. Initially released as a single in 1989, Vince Vance's version of the song has charted several times on the Billboard country singles charts. The best ever no one can sing that song like her I play it every Christmas all I wanted was my neighbors dog and I got him that's the best song ever she's great merry Christmas to her!
It does not get any better. I remember the first time I ever heard this song. I was on my way to work. I wanted so much for the DJ to tell who the artist was and he did! I had VV's CD within a few days. Lisa is awesome. She thanks her fans as she sings.....a class act. I love this song so much, that I play it year round, just like tonight, June 29. We love you, Lisa!!!!!!
All I wanna know is, Why ain't this lady singing country music. I have loved this song for years. It is my favorite Christmas song of all time. She can flat out sing. Amazing talent. Got the CD a few years ago just for this song!
I saw you in a barroom in baton rouge about 100 years ago and fell in love with you. You were fantastic then and your still fantastic. Thks for all the memories..
Singing is truly her gift in life it's nice when you find what your gift is and you can use it to bless so many others , I'm telling you when this song was wrote he must have fell into a trance and a heavenly being must have just overtook him and gave him those lines to induce in the heart of people who fall in love with each other, a true meaning of what love is not only for Christmas but all year round.
I absolutely agree with you. Lisa is a beautiful lady and definitely has such a way of singing this song that just can't be touched by anyone!! Lisa is a woman of beauty and talent!!
This song should be played on the radio year round-one of the best female performances on any record-period. Lisa is an outstanding vocalist, and this live performance of this song attests to this fact. Right up there with Aretha and Celine.

Listened to this daily in 1998 during the Xmas season when I first moved to Nashville. She was married then (maybe, still?) to a DJ there and all the stations were playing it. My all time favorite Xmas song. She still has that "growl" in her voice that makes it so sexy!
When I got a pc about 15; years ago, this is the first Christmas song I looked up to download to my memory. This has been a classic in every sense of the word.
This is a classic and makes my Christmas every year. Before you tube I had to hope I would be lucky enough to hear it on the radio. Now I can hear it any time. Ms Layne thank U for so many memories...
Sorry, I mean...I am no kid...still this I my favorite Christmas song... but only by LIsa Lane, perfect voice and perfect song. This is the way I get into the Christmas spirit, now at age 68. Thank you Lance and Lisa. Joe
