Lisa Marie had a song in her soul , she was able to express it while here . I can’t imagine the pressure of being Elvis Presley’s daughter and the expectations of his fans on her . I admire she remained true to herself and her music . She was insightful enough to know maintaining her own self autonomy was vital .
If you listen to the lyrics she sang they tell a story . Something inside of me says she had so much more music inside . I could only imagine if she would have been able to put the energy of her pain and life experience in Less commercial music and more Raw Real Lisa later in life , Before her she left us .
Her ex husband kept her busy fighting with him in court , Scientology helping him to destroy her . Remember she was pulled into court weeks after her son died to fight for the right to see her twin girls . Her husband used Bens death as a reason to ask for more money and Full custody . (Let that sink in) She was so strong and had a battle with more addictions than drugs too and she won those . My heart sinks knowing she went back to numbing herself with drugs as soon as she was no longer required to take weekly court ordered drug test. The irony is that court order to take those test might have been what kept her alive as long as she was after Bens passing . It provided a PROTECTION .
