Since Lisa Marie’s death, of course, I have seen so many photos of her. And I have seen more photos of Elvis and his parents. I saw some lovely younger photos of Gladys, and I was struck by how when Lisa Marie was darkening her hair, how much she looked like Gladys. Gladys was quite pretty as a young woman and it is her that has that wonderful Cupid bow mouth that turns down in the most beautiful way. And that is the mouth that Lisa Marie has.

It's hard to realize that Lisa is 51 years old. I guess to some of us she'll always be a kid, in our mind, anyway. If Elvis had lived longer I think her life would have been different, and the same for him - if Gladys had lived longer I think his life would have been different as well. Each of them had such a strong bond with that parent.

Love these pictures. I was a fan of Lisa's singing but got so busy with my life and missed her last album. I wish I would have reached out to her with a long letter and a big hug!!! She was too young to leave us. I've suffered from heavy depression myself. Her loss makes me so sad! I miss you woman - you were one of a kind!!! Unique with a pure heart! Having money you never earned can be so debilitating and disoriented. Having too much comfort and never knowing stress too early in life can literally destroy all creativity and motivation. Money attracts the worst kinds of opportunists, ne’er-do-wells and grifters and so often you have to lose everything before you can discern who the real friends are. Usually 98% of them disappear over night while only one or two stick around but you will see them less and less until they too eventually fade away. I wish she had gotten with a few people and found ways to get more involved with helping others.
