Congress needs to hold the Supreme Court Accountability and overturn Citizens United. Corporations are not persons and money is not speech.

How can we trust the judgement of this Scotus on any cases going forward? They can openly drag their feet on this case and then we are supposed to feel that justice is going to be served on anything else they decide? That's impossible and that is a problem.

This type of behavior shows their guilt. This is a top priority, and they are showing they are being dismissive for obvious reasons.

The onus is, and should be, on the prosecution to prove their case and no defendant should be languishing for extended periods awaiting an outcome - they have the right to a timely hearing - but I have yet to see much said about the rights of victims, who _are_ unable to move on when such delaying tactics are not subject to the urgency they arguably should be. Due Process seems to lose her way a little under these circumstances; justice, after all, is for everyone.

It's shameful. It only took them 56 days (less than two months) to save Trump from disqualification in the Colorado case. Yet is been almost 4 months (because they decided to take THIS case back in February) and they haven't issued a ruling and we are almost in July. Guaranteed these people will wait right before they get out for this term to issue their ruling. And guaranteed they are going to save Trump's butt again in someway, that will diverge from the norm. Most sane people were completely done with this majority Conservative court after the Roe decision. Which ultimately caused all of the chaos we see in states now regarding women's health choices and led to the whole contraception discussion now. This court, through several rulings has demonstrated a propensity to strip rights away from already marginalized groups, paving a way for these vindictive and power hungry Republicans to create laws that purposely seek to hurt non white, non heterosexual and non male demographics. Case and point, they took away Roe, now we see all of these Republicans laws threatening doctors, women and their loved ones with jail time if they give them any assistance or even any information regarding abortion. SCOTUS took away affirmative action. Almost immediately after, we see Republicans creating laws to get rid of diversity, equality and inclusion programs in schools, hiring programs, etc. Now these people have made bump stocks illegal. Guaranteed you'll begin to see legislation from Republicans purposely authorizing other ridiculous weapons civilians don't need, just so they can be challenged by gun safety advocates and brought to this Republican friendly court for rubber stamping. When Dems take over, they need to waste NO time in either getting this court stacked and or reforming it with clearly defined ethics rules and begin limiting the courts jurisdiction. They also need to call for immediate hearings for both Alito and Thomas. Who continue to have the audacity to sit on cases in which they know they have conflicts.
