"It's gone. It killed everyone... Everyone but you..." *Whips out spear* "What the fuck are you?" What a way to start a boss fight from arguably the coolest warlord on the list.
@@HeavyWeaponsGuyisHornyoriginally, yes. But in Vegaful he’s like a big manchild that can’t take a loss. And cmon, winning against him is so easy it’s actually ruining his character in my opinion
@@MrYTPfan123 big talk for a fangame made afterwards 🤡 these are the comments that made Austin Jorgensen retract him saying all fangames were canon xDDD
I think Big Lincoln would fall regardless. You know, he is also the guy who made a cross for every person he killed. So we could assume that he was a quite noble person, maybe not as noble and powerful as Rando, but I still think he isn't all that bad. What I am trying to say is that he probably went easy on Buddy, and probably wanted to scare her into leaving. As she was the last woman ever recorded in this side of Olathe, so it could be the last chance to repopulate.
I don't know why but those sprites are something like: "I'm going to flip you like a pancake" vs "One day you will die in the hands of a man, that man is me, and that day is today, on guard"
I thought Vegaful was kind of weak on the whole, but I'll give it credit for having some memorable battles and a pretty high-quality soundtrack. I generally found all the available party members' skills fun to use even if the combat got too easy near the end, so the game had a lot going for it. Unfortunately, the complete lack of anything in the way of a story to contextualize the events that transpire really undermined the experience. I wasn't going in expecting some sort of emotionally-gripping epic, but I would have liked for there to be more of a narrative framework connecting everything together. As it stands, there's almost nothing driving the events of the plot. Jerry is static and never develops as a protagonist, there's no real overarching villain (I guess you could say the Ringmaster fills that role but he barely feels involved in what little plot we're given), and the central thrust of the story is so weak that it's hard to get invested in what's going on. In my opinion, it would have made for a much more compelling narrative if we were following the Vega crew's pre-Joyful rise from being a small-time gang sparring with other jobbers to securing a place on the list (by doing battle with rivals like Hawk Hollywood and Hans Tsunami). That would also work better with the plot thread of Vega wanting you to recruit more men, as you could have a fun progression over-time where Jerry's crew is initially puny but you eventually accumulate an army of battle-hardened party members by the end.
Oh, i agree. But at the very least we can be glad Vegaful was a standalone "story" that didn´t undermined any sort of previously constructed plot with questions left unsolved... Ahem. Now can you guess the word? I´m thinking of the letter J.
I entirely disagree. LISA games are unique in the fact that they are very open ended. Just looking at the most popular mods, pointless, timeless, and hopeful, they’re faithful to the setting, yet take place in believably different environments of Olathe. Though those separate stories come from very welcome places of creativity, why I love vegaful is because it uses source material while creating its own story that adds to the original game. Even in the original trailer of PAINFUL, post flash olathe is described as a world of dipshits and perverts. I don’t think it could be a Lisa game if everything worked out as it should. I mean, the whole plot of the mod is you’re some low level goon who gets brain damaged by a mentally unstable gang member -told by your boss, whose authority comes from his arrogance and looks -to beg for man power because warlord politics are shaking up. I just think it’s cool that someone thought of this idea tbh and hope other creators expand on the Lisa universe.
how would a memory scene fit into this? jerry literally has brain damage. also from what i know *since i havent played painful.* doesnt hawk get defeated by brad?
Would have been cool if there was a pain mode in joyful this is how you would encounter Sindy gallows surrounded by the four dead men ready to defend his title yet again.
Who would win? The second strongest warlord in all of Olathe who is skilled in most common forms of combat including, spears, bows and fists Or An invalid with a rake.
One thing i didnt get fron the fangame is why Sindy want you dead for no reason, i though he was wanting to recruit Jerry, but he them wants to hang him? And in the end we haved at least 5 new guys, so we could just go back to Vega, and he needed mags too, so we could just go back and give him 800 mags instead of buying tnt. I think that ending on the Sindy territory was a little forced, probably because the creator will chang things on a future update.
He wanted jerry dead as a sign to Vega to not fuck around with the territory of him and also if you go back to Vega when you recruit a New member he has a bit of text showing a bit of disconfort of the people you recruit showing he wants more people or better looking like fatty peach
IIRC if you go to Vega with the new guys in your party (Victor, Joey, Fatty, Leonard and Aussie) Vega’s reactions range from disappointed to somewhat intrigued (in Fatty’s case). And as for mags? Gameplay and story segregation thanks to the amount of ways you can get money in the game.
I think it’s mainly because of how all the warlords besides Lardy are basically sick of Vega’s shit and want him gone for good. I think Sindy already knew that something was going on and Vega was up to no good, and seeing that you killed Dice and beated up Lincoln was enough to make him mad.
kinda weird how people dont know that the whole reason vega lost his men and needed jerry to go on a whole journey to get more guys was because of the ringmaster
He was the opposite, being a guy who hunted mutants. That pissed off the cult, and thanks to Jerry, manages to set them and Sindy’s former men against each other, much to Sindy’s displeasure and eventual near death.
I think the point of it is to be kinda easy, not only are you super strong by now, I don't think Sindy ever went all out on you because all 3 of the top warlords seemed to share a mindset of "Oh he's just a Vega Boy, no big deal"
