I really liked this format of yours explaining this very dense game. I just got into Vital Lacerda's game designs because of his synergy with Ian O'Toole's artistry. Your raw way of explaining this game in contrast to the more robotic, almost monotone of other channels makes it more less intimidating and actually enticing. I recall I found this channel awhile ago when you did Uwe Rosenberg's Fields of Arle and I really liked that. I hope you could do a runthrough of Vital's upcoming kickstarter: "Weather Machine". And that game is doozy too. Thanks!

Historical games never snag me on first sight as having an enticing theme, but I do have to admit that the idea of rebuilding in Lisboa feels very authentic, very real. I love the rubble idea, so simple yet feels quite unique. Definitely can see how it might take a couple run-throughs before fully grasping it, but after that I can imagine the strategic depth is huge. Dates on the cards are cool too! And Rahdo, your energy is super exciting; I have to admit that how hyped you are is certainly contagious. I will be backing for sure. :)

This game looked so interesting before the run through, and now even more so. I'd back in a heartbeat, but at $96 shipped to the US seems steep to me. I wonder what the expected release availability will be after the Kickstarter. This is one where Prime shipping would be a huge benefit.

Thank you for this very dynamic explanation about this deep game... I tried do watch some other videos about this game and they are only a bunch of rules where it's practically impossible to get the big picture and the "flow" of the game. I really enjoy your content. The others just tells us the physical principles of riding a bicycle, your videos show us how a real pilot does.

nope, 'fraid not. it's got too much player vs player conflict in it for our tastes, which is a shame, because i love the ideas in the design of this game

While I appreciate the kitchen sink approach, his games are getting out of hand: another humongous box, and the game is expensive. This is a trend that started with 'the Gallerist' and unfortunately, seems to be continuing. I know a playtester and he was not happy with some of the changes made in Lisboa regarding play mechanics as well as artwork. He was disappointed enough to cancel purchase. The Vinhos reprint not only had worse art than the original, but also tripled the price over the the original. Ks copies going for $170 Cad. Insanity. How is this progress?

Man, I'm sorry to tell that, but your runthroughs were so much better when you didn't spend so much time to explane everything and repeat the same things again and again. When I'm watching a runthrough I don't care about all the details, I just want to feel the gameplay, and "just jump into it" principle was just perfect for that. It's a shame, that you don't do this anymore.

i think the details are important to get a full understanding of how the game works and what the feel is like. just going mechanically through turn after turn with no context makes the videos weaker, imo. YMMV though...

I'm not asking you to play just mechanically, but introoduce the possibilities of the game during the flow of the turns. Exactly like you do it before (just watch any of your videos from 2013 or earlier )). Cmon, you made just one(!) turn in 25 min runthrough of Lisboa ) Maybe at least you can put timestamps in your videos at the moment when the actual runthrough starts?)
