We really hope that you are going to like our amusement park documentary from Liseberg and the Schwarzkopf roller coaster Lisebergsloopen. Liseberg is an amusement park in Gothenburg Sweden and is a must visit when you are in Sweden. Liseberg is one of the best amusement parks in Europe.
In 1980 Liseberg opened an experience that was all new for Scandinavia, a roller coaster with an inversion. Lisebergsloopen was a hit from the start and is a popular ride even to this day.

There were a total of 8 copies built of Looping Star and 4 are still operating around the world. If you live in Europe the closest one is in Rome, Italy and goes by the name "Vertigo".

Incredible, I didn't know about this 1980 event. Looping Star or LisebergsLoopen was my first Roller Coaster with Looping when I was just a kid. Thank you so much for the credits on the images, your video is amazing

What i remember of those 2 times i ride it was a bit rough. This was the first time i dared to ride something that had an inversion. I didnt dåre to ride Hang Over. But today i cant wait to get on a new coaster. But El Condor in walibi world, Holland was rough. But it was a Vekoma SLC to that says alot.

Never got the chance to ride it myself, but yeah, don’t think I missed that much Hehe. HangOver I miss to this day. Really enjoyed my rides in it last May. Condor is really rough, I do not enjoy that coaster whatsoever 😅

This ride is one of the best coasters in the park ever, riding it late evening in July before the park closed was epic. also the area where it stod was cool with lots of space for people to stand and watch. Now this area is just caos.

Sadly I never got the ride this rollercoaster. I liked that area the most with HangOver, probably because of my memories. I agree that the are is not really good at the moment.

I have a fun little story about Lisebersloopen to tell. My mother told me that once when she rode Lisebergsloopen the restraint didn't want to lock and the ride operators said that it would lock when the ride starts moving. Which it did... but not when the ride startet but when it was on the top of the lift hill and entering the drop.

Yeah the view on security was different back then, my friends and I used to ride FlumeRide and stand up in the boat during the ride and walk around and we never got told off by the staff, now there is a recorded voice from a speaker telling you not to do that.

Security has come a long way in the amusement parks around the world indeed. Oh wow what you are saying are really dangerous, but as you say. The rules was easier to bend and it was not that strict.

I live in Brazil-Rio de Janeiro and i saw it in person🥰(here we call it "Looping Star" since Playcenter renamed it) is such a beautiful roller coaster and i can't wait to ride this for the 1st time(it's the biggest itinerant coaster in the Latin America!)

Riktigt kul att se att Loopen finns kvar än idag och rullar på. Minns hur häftigt det va att äntligen få/våga åka den sista säsongen på Liseberg 1995 i duggregnet på sensommaren.

Nöjesparkshistoria är intressant och speciellt när banor får en sådan fin fortsättning som just loopen. Avundsjuk, hade också velat få åka den när den stod på Liseberg (inte åkte just denna i Brasilien heller tyvärr). Även HangOver har en liknande solskenshistoria. Tack för din kommentar

If you look in the community part of the channel If you haven't already you can see that Helix is in the lead for being a priority in my video making. But since you asked I will answer. Helix will be a "bigger" mini documentary, that basically means, more than one part and will be released over several weeks. It is scripted and part 1 is recorded and is in the editing phase. Big chance for Helix already in a weeks time. 😊 Sound good?
