LISHOMWA calls for coordinated policies in SADC Countries

Immigration Director General, JAPHET LISHOMWA has called for coordinated policies in building preparedness for crises such as droughts that are likely to affect mobility in the region.
Dr. LISHOMWA notes that coordinated policies and strategies are also important in maximizing the development potential of migration, trade and regional integration.
He said this in Livingstone today, at the SADC meeting of Heads of Immigration, Labour Commissioners and Heads of Statistics departments.
This was during the Regional Migration Policy framework and the Global Compact on Migration -GCM- reporting.
