If Mugabe had changed his stance there would have been no sanctions and the west would've invested long ago, yet he stood firm until the end. For your info, the European Union (EU) currently has no economic sanctions on Zimbabwe, the individual measures still in place concern a very limited number of persons linked to the previous regime and consist of an arms export ban, assets freeze and travel restrictions, among others. These restrictions have no impact on the economy of the country. Anything suggesting the opposite is wrong.
