This is special to me. When I was like. 20, my friend saved me from ending up homeless in the small town we grew up in. I started playing video games really when I got settled with him in the city he moved me to, and this song used to always be in the Gears of War trailer playing in a GameStop that brought me here lol
What a great song and cover. How they can keep it simple to the tones and emotions form the original song. It almost bring the essence of the song (or at least, a great part of the essence) to the front , right in the face. Ahhh memories... my high school bf used to play this song for me on his guitar. I was lucky enough to see Metallica live in concert back in 1999 at Werchter. This is a very decent cover imo.
First saw this video in 2011 long before some gamers showed up. Been a fan of Lissie since she released Catching A Tiger in 2010. Big Metallica fan too and pains me to say it, she outdid the lads on their own song. This girl is awesome , looking forward to seeing her live again this spring
here by accident - and so glad because this woman can sing:) She can cover Fleetwood Mac and Metallica and do an equally good job of both - she is good.
This fu@#ing girl brings tears to my eyes.ive been fortunate enough to see some of the greatest live concerts of our lifetime.everyone from system of a down to jethrotull.none can deliver in my opinion the stripped down raw emotion that she has.very seldom does something grab a hold of our souls in that form.its a literal shame that there is not enough of this kind of sound available
To be fair this is still doesn't feel metallica song to me compared to first four albums. It is a good song but not a metal song, it would have fit better on load i think.
