Reading Blue Mountain & Northern’s 4-8-4 T1 #2102 is working hard turning the train around the Nesquehoning bridge in Jim Thorpe, PA while she wheel slips and makes an echo into the mountains. Must watch!!
When I see something great like that I think of the drawing board with all the thousands of pieces being designed and tested and the drawings of each part, really amazing, thanks
. . .WOW. . .!!! SO POWERFUL . A SINGLE LOCOMOTIVE DRAGING MORE THAN A 50 COACH. . .??? WOW , SO POWERFUL . WHERE IS LOCATE THIS AMAZING LOOMOTIVE . . .???
It reminds me of someone stumbling when it slips a wheel. Just a rush of sound, then a moment of silence as if it looks around to see if anyone was watching, then continuing on.
I was just in Jim Thorpe and did this, however I have a diesel not steam, I’m not sure on a return date but when this does I’m definitely coming back!!
Wheel slip isn't difficult to achieve but rather difficult to keep to a minimum. These old machines make some serious power! Hats off to a great recovery on the experience of the engineer. You could tell his hand was on the throttle with that quick of a response, quickly killing the power then smoothly restoring it. Hey wait s minute... IS THAT REAL COAL IN THE TENDER? THAT DOES IT, I'M CALLING GRETA DUMBERG!!! 😛😛😛😆😆😆
У нас в, Кемерово есть детская железная дорога и по ней ходят такие же паровозики. Ее протяжённость несколько км. В Новосибирске тоже есть детская железная дорога.
I'm 80 What great memories! My grandpa was a trainmaster for NYC! Would you believe in Embrun, Ontario, Canada ! I still have the telegraph machine he had in his office....never did know him though!
