I loved watching you create this painting. It is stunning! I also like how your organized your brushes in cups stick to the wall - abs the poppies you painted on your wall/ceiling. Just lovely! ♥️
Hi Donna, thank you for sharing your creative process. In observing how you work, I see the usage of your bare hands to place paint on the canvas. I know many artist prefer this technique over brushes or other tools, however, I would highly suggest using gloves. Many paints contain toxic compounds and there is a risk of harm to your health if you paint on a regular basis. I just wanted to mentioned this as your video is an inspiration to many new artist, and people should be cognizant of the risk. Happy painting!
Donna, I saw so many animals in your creation. Bird, fish, mule , elephant, 2 faces and oh it was so much fun watching you create. TFS! ArtsyChik Jeanne
I really love your process, thanks so much for sharing! You had so much movement and life happening on your canvas, it was quite inspiring! I love how free you are to just sort of let things happen - I myself am a much tigher-wound painter who struggles to loosen up while I paint - watching this made me want to just grab a canvas and have at it! Maybe I'll do that this weekend! ;)
BEAUTIFUL! I am so inspired!!! I love how you paint w/ your hands. Thank you for sharing your process. I enjoyed the whole thing. The music was lovely too.
Ms. Downey... i came across your videos here on you tube and fell in love. You inspired me to pursue ME in my my painting. Thank you for sharing. I understand that each piece is a part of you and it is daunting to share sometimes. So i appreciate your bravery and willingness. Thank you.
What a beautiful journey through a colourful landscape, slowly emerging into a sizzlingly delightful beautiful warm canvas with style and fascinating details. This is very attractive.
First I want to thank you for the amazing demo and sharing your art expertise and process with us. Very captivating and inspiring. I recently viewed a comment here. I want to let people know that artists can’t produce “exactly” what they have done in prior work, let alone copy “exactly” what another artist has done. We have to train our eye to see those subtle differences in artistic expression. We are here to learn a process and then express ourselves by exploration of that process. Thankfully there are people like you who are willing to share.
time lapse is my favorite.. I LOVED your big canvas.. had to complete my mixed media canvas that i started long ago.. Thankyou for the inspiration.. like always, im off to play :D oxox--
I'm curious as to why you have put in so much work onto the canvas in the early minutes and then all of a sudden you cover it up. I love both for different reasons. I could even see using both in the same balanced painting.... Keep up what you do, I love watching you grow!
Donna, I love watching your videos. I have a large canvas that I've been afraid to start. I am feeling inspired to give it a try. I l-o-v-e this new painting of yours ... the colors are yummy. I love the way you broke up the space. WOW! Fantastico! Michelle Collagefrog Nevada City, California
Hello. It´s lovely to see how you share you knowledge and your fabulous painting skill. It's so beautiful how it came out. Thanks for sharing . I was wondering what for kind of paint you use. Acrilic or water paint ? Thanks i'm looking your video from Sardinia. And will try to make a canvas painting just for the fun hope to hear what for paint you use. Thanks all the best from Sardinia Italy.❤
Do you realize that there is an area on the bottom right that was barely touched? Very interesting since there are layers and layers on the rest of the canvas.
I thought this is boring and fast forward to 10 minutes realised it was good and went back to the beggining lol, very nice piece, and went well with the music, what was the music :)
so impressed with the way this turned out! Truthfully, I couldn't see it at first... thank you so much for sharing your process! P.S. Can I still order your iPhone covers? I have two but went back for more and I couldn't find them!!! :(
Wow Wow you started off and I thought wow beautiful so vibrant, love the colors and than Wow!!! Uber talented you are. It would look so beautiful in my room (o;
It's really beautiful and alive and inspirational. It looks like you stick to a palette of five colors and ink and white, is that right? A magenta, an orange, a yellow, a green, and a teal? It's masterful.
hi donna wow! inspiring i am creating with intuition tho not as colorfully or with so much freedom or with my fingers is it acrylic? music is also new to me from a grt grama in new mexico usa love and light
I love this painting. It is beautiful thank you for sharing the process with us. What are you using to draw on the canvas with (the black). It is beautiful. How many of these have you done?
I really enjoyed watching you do the intuitive painting that seems to be so popular now....I think it wonderfully liberating. I've been a fan of your's going way back to the Tole Painting days back in the late 90's, early 2000.....Would you please consider posting the colors of the supplies (your's I'm sure) you used in this painting? Went to your One Stroke website and found "images coming soon" under Paints. I assume you were using Acrylics here, right? I really liked the colors you used. Thank you for your talents and for sharing this. Really enjoyed it and felt very inspired!
I really enjoyed watching you paint, but I must say, there was one point where I was saying, OH NO, because you were painting over parts I really really liked, you know when you started with the larger smearing of paints, well, just my opinion, I do it alot, do too much, and then I wish some of what I had done first showed up more. LOVE watching you! Louella
