I became a BTS ARMY through Michael Jackson. Michael’s nephew Taj Jackson kept tweeting about BTS around MJ’s birthday in 2020 and it got me curious enough to check out their song Dynamite. In that MV BTS have a lot of MJ inspired choreography. 7:22 your comment about ‘MJ would be so proud’ I agree wholeheartedly. As a MJ fan I clearly remember a young Usher performing with MJ at Michael’s 30th Anniversary concert in 2001. Now we see Usher figuratively passing the torch to his younger colleague Jung Kook. Also a massive MJ fan I love how BTS respects and admires Michael Jackson. It’s not just Jung Kook and Jimin either. All 7 BTS members have shown that they regard MJ - j-hope (one of BTS’s 3 rappers and BTS’s Dance Leader) says they ‘revere’ him. Nor is it just recent - from 2012 to present day BTS have repeatedly shown they are inspired by him. In 2012, 6 months before they even debuted RM rapped about how cool Michael Jackson is (you can find this on RU-vid- it’s called Welcome to the Bangtan Room) A lot of artists clearly have been inspired by Michael Jackson but in BTS case I think you see how they’ve adopted his strive for excellence. Like MJ did they make songs that not only have meaning plus sound great, then make killer choreography and music videos to go with it. Then replicate that quality live to put on an unforgettable show.
I 100% recommend you react to their group stuff as well as the other members solo music!! they arent dispanded just currently on hiatus as 6 of the members are serving in the korean military for 1 1/2 years and the oldest just returning last month. i suggest you listen to J-hope: more and arson or even his older music such as daydream RM: Lost, wild flower and nuts. AGUST D (SUGA): trilogy: Daechwita, Haegum and AMYGDALA. JIN: the astronaut even check out the members youve already listened to other music. They delve into many different genres, hip hop, latin pop, pop, rock, ballads, EDM and so much more. They even debut as a hip hop group and not a boy band when they first started in 2013. We are happy to have you join the ARMY. BTS are supportive and love all their fans just as we love them!!! its a beautiful community to be apart of even outside of their music!!! They are humble, funny and caring people, and just all round superstars with insane talent. They all have their own styles and strengths and together they work wonders in changing kpop and the music industry. If youre looking for anything BTS will have it one way or another!! If you enjoy dance, Jhope used to be a street dancer and has a love for old school hiphop and is an amazing freestyler and was part of a crew named NEURON when he was a child, on the otherhand jimin was a contempory dancer who went to school for dance, but he also partook in dance battles for freestyle which you can find!! Both RM and SUGA were underground rappers. Not to mention their insane lyric writing and composing of their own songs, all members have written and directed a lot of their work, spending a lot of time in their own studios, their penmanship is INSANE!!!!!!! I'm 54, became an ARMY at 48, and most of my ARMY friends are 35+. After all, the members of BTS are in their 30s now, and I've known a number of ARMY much older than myself!
I really enjoyed your reaction! One thing I ask is to please not compare them to one another- they are still all a part of the whole of BTS. They all have different styles and messages in their solo work as well as the group’s whole musical catalog. Even their approaches can change from their solo album to album ( for example Jimin’s FACE is totally different from MUSE). They all are about exploring and pushing themselves and their music. I know there are songs that I am not so keen on, but the beauty of it all is there are so many that I do love, and I never get bored since they cover so many genres and their lyrics are phenomenal.
Jungkook's entire album "GOLDEN" is in English. However, you can always turn on the subtitles (CC) and read the lyrics. A lot of BTS songs have some English words/phrases, but the group's only complete English songs are "Dynamite", "Butter", and "Permission to Dance". They also have some features on other songs that are all English. RM, the leader of the group, is the only member fluent in English, the others have said they are studying it, but for the most part, while singing English, they are doing it phonetically.

This is a remix (a very good one!), Usher is not in the official VM. JK made a performance at Times Square, he sang five songs for Army... it was perfect! (I think you'll like to watch it, too). Well made, girl! It's almost impossible to compare hehehe all of them have their own style, personality, charm, etc Do you want to smile for ten minutes? I always recommend watching BTS Room Festa to have a little taste of their repertoire.

So jungkook has a full English album. Jimin has mixed, which is how it goes in K-pop. Taehyung (V) has very chill songs. The rappers go very different and diverse. RM, suga aka Agust d and hope , bangers. Their music is not for everyone, they do a lot of hip hop too. I have a feeling you might enjoy RM. I LOVE HIS MUSIC. he talks about a lot of things in different perspectives. Philosophical. Suga talks about world in a psychological way. jhope has his own vibe, very dancy too, as he is the main dancer. As for Jin, he’s working on his album as he was first to enlist. He has few solos which shows his majestic vocals, he has a song called astronaut with coldplay. Amazing vocalist. I hope u give them a solid chance. As a group and as individuals. Language can be a barrier, once u look past it. It’s WONDERFUL music. ❤
Oh this is gonna be a FUN journey to watch 😂 can't wait to see your reactions to songs with all 7 members! My favorites are Fake Love, Danger, and OUTRO:EGO (EGO is a solo from J-Hope, my favourite). If you want to double up on k-pop rabbit holes, may i suggest Stray Kids? They just had a song on the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack (it's called SLASH, and there's fanmade lyric videos for it) as well as getting some related special cameos for their CHK CHK BOOM music video! If you do decide to check them out, i think you'd have a blast! (And PLEASE react to MANIAC, it's my favorite stray kids song.) They're the second k-pop group I've really gotten into, first was BTS.

But apparently, the way kpop does choreo commissions is all remote, so none of them ever met in person (in fact, Brian explained in a later interview that he had no idea what group he was even working with, for Butterfly... it was all arranged through the company. But yeah, JK personally sought out Brian. And JK, who is now the waaaay more famous of the two, was still star struck to meet him. It was super cute. They became fast friends, though. They had some hilarious social media interactions during the Golden promotions era.
I don’t think you have to worry about copyright issues if the Big Hit logo is at the beginning of the video. I’ve seen numerous do it with no problems. If it’s a live tv show then copyright applies.
Michael jackson would love bts so much. Seriously they have been doing shit that would impress michael jackson since the BEGINNING OF BTS. the way they play with genre and their dancing since the BEGINNING. He would've approved 100%

And the other 2 vocalists do rock ballads and jazz rnb. You are in for a musical journey/ exploration/ study. Take Two is the last song bts released as a group.
