John I'm glad you finally determined why it was only firing on one cylinder. I would spray the switch down with contact cleaner, and then maybe some type of dialectic spray. And then work it back and forth a little at a time. Yeah! the military contractors that rebuild equipment especially equipment held in war readiness do a shitty job. The know that it will probably only be pulled out of storage once a year for annual testing.
Yes, I did spray it down with electrical cleaner and it works now. I could tell when I got this generator that someone tried to fix it but gave up and auctioned it off. Our tax dollars at work. I have it wired to my beaker panel at home with an interlock device and it powers my whole house. I’ll have another video of that soon.
