Living in the 19th century might have been worth it, if before you died of syphilis or got mulched by grapeshot you got to hear Maestro Liszt blow the doors off with one of these encores.

It never gets old. They are absolutely wonderful and I love them.

I love Liszt and this compilation is perfect. I am glad I can find there all five Liszt's galops. Thank you!

Liszts galop are so charming!

#5 is more of a canter than a gallop. #2, beautifully read by the incomparable Georges Cziffra, was crystal clear and the tempo was superb. All of the galops were immensely enjoyable! Thank you for this post.

in my understanding the "GALOPS" were burn-out pieces at the end of a concert evening during the golden piano (romantic) era in the 19th century...🤗😏☺😉

OMG, I know that human hands can do amazing things but the music of Liszt and others sometimes defy human limitations. I hope this music was a real person and not a robot. OMG, OUTSTAND VIRTUOSITY IF IT WAS A HUMAN

This first Galop looks so technically difficult this tests the piano to its maximum

I absolutely love all these gallops, especially the A minor and Russian gallop.

Even though it doesn’t sound like that but the first one scales a lot higher in terms of difficulty than the chromatique

The Italian is a bit Hungarian.

not only the composer, but the performer too... eh... and even the listener must be a little nice & pretty weird...

Grand galop chromatique not "grande". Galop is a masculine noun.

I prefer Galop Marquis. These make me dizzy and make my stomach hurt. I had to pull myself to listen to the 1st Galop. It just sounds like noise. Liszt wrote better pieces than this. I understand that these were show pieces but man. I only can take so much at once.
