Lite Brite Toy History - Toy Commercial Commentary 

I loved my Lite Brite and had it for years until it got wet in a flood, unfortunately, but I'm getting one tomorrow for myself for Christmas.

My sister and I actually reused the templates. We divided them up to have the first "punch," and then we would reuse them until they were falling apart. As for the pegs, our parents made sure we put them in an old margarine container so they wouldn't get lost. They warned us if they found the pegs scattered around, they'd take the Lite Brite away, and my sister and I did not want that to happen.

i was born in 06 but my grandparents had one! i spent HOURS playing with it and i just for one again for myself im so happy

I got an original Lite Brite in the early 70's. Am I the only one who totally dug the smell once those little plastic pegs got hot?

My sister and I had one in the 90s and we loved it. Apparently, it kept us busy

Was really hoping you would have the original lite bright cube commercial. It had a line "...you and three of your friends, you have three friends don't you?" And no one believes me.

Wow, this took me waaaay back. I think I had a Lite Brite knockoff lol, before I passed it on to my little sister. I have no clue what happened to it after that... probably got sold at some yard sale. It was so long ago, I don't remember where I got it (school event maybe? won it somewhere?), exactly what it looked like (I think it was portable? and there wasn't any paper involved), or even what I did with it. I just remember those plastic peg things and that I enjoyed it

You lost my respect with throwing in the whole White Privilege B.S. In the 80's if you had anything more than crayons, you were considered a white privilege kid. I remember giving my crayons to a black kid in school. So did other kids. His mother must had beat his ass, because he returned them and said we dont need from white people. You having a computer, making vids, and catering to an audience is definitely white privileage. Light bright was pretty cool :)
