Yeah the blend was so amazing I was pretty convinced they had some way of speeding up gameplay while they played it? But it doesn’t make much sense so yeah 100% props to the editors

​@celestialPilot​The editors sped up the video but kept the audio normal, and then when someone reacted to something they cut their audio up to that reaction.

I absolutely hate it. Just wish they would play it normal or skip forward. I hate the desync.

@celestialPilot Yeah, it hurts sometimes. . . .Just remember that they record the audio and video separately (at the same time). That's why you can sometimes see them "syncing" them. When they do a count down/up in the beginning of a vid, that's for the editors to sync the video and audio together. They record both at the same time, but on different devices/software that are not linked together until the editor makes the video for us. It's like using a microphone for audio and a camera for video. . . . except that's exactly what they are doing (especially for face cam). Cameras don't inherently have audio recording devices built into them. And, microphones can't inherently record video. Make sense?

yeah i hope they never do that again instead of making me constantly listen to try and figure out how exactly they cut the audio to fit

The last seconds of the video have audio because they are talking into the mics. The security footage does not record audio, or they would include it. They showed what video AND audio they had, which is why it cut before that moment. I think.

A die roll is based on the physics of how the die interacts with the surface after being thrown. But still, it's unpredictable enough and hits the different sides enough to be effectively random, and used as a randomizer. Basically nothing not subatomic is truly random, but a lot of things are close enough to random that they seem it to people normally.
