As promised here is an updated video for Litespeed Cache Version 3. This is the most recent major release that made a variety of changes to the admin menu and integrated their quic.cloud service. This is a paid CDN service similar to that of cloudflare that let's you take full advantage of the litespeed cache plugin even when you're not on a litespeed powered server. Now have setup four lightspeed VPS severs to check performance on a few hosting platforms, and this pops up on my RU-vid watch list. Very cool video, if I only checked two days ago would of put a few wrongs right! You do very good content. Found lightspeed only way I can get 100 on Google Pagespeed or near as dam it, with still some things to fix.
Thanks for the detailed tutorial. Very helpful! I am currently running LItespeed Cache & Cloudflare with Railgun. I am optimizing images, css, js in LSC and using Cloudflare through cPanel only with standard cache enabled. I also installed Asset Clean up to help unload some scripts and block unnecessary plugin files that were killing page loads. However, I'm not seeing much improvement and I am wondering if there is a more optimal setup? I am using the free version of Asset clean up. Thanks for the vid. Luckily my host uses Litespeed! Managed to reduce load times from 1.6s to around 900ms/1.1s. Reduced the number of requests by 17 too.

My shared hosting company is using litespeed and this was the setup I'm going for. Very curious about bang for buck regarding quic cloud. For a low traffic website under 10000 views per week it's probably not that important right, unless it speeds up page load significantly (main audience is same country) compared to using shared hosting and configuring the WP site with the litespeed capability of the hosting provider. I guess it would be interesting to have real world comparison figures comparing small site using quic cloud WP with shared litespeed hosting
Hey Scott, just discovered your channel and I gotta say it's one of the best I've come across. Your tutorials are superb and you deserve much more subscribers. Anyway, I wanted to know what your thoughts are when using LiteSpeed Cache with CloudFlare. Is it better to do the optimization through the plugin or through CF? For instance, Cloudflare has a minify option. Should we use that or do it on the server? What about JS defer, is it better to use Rocket Loader or the plugin's native defer function?
You can use the minify options in cloudflare with the minify options in your plugins. Samething with the rocket loader and defer in the plugin. I personally always do both. The minify options in cloudflare are so conservative there are unlikely to break anything ever
Thank you for this video, it had helped me a lot install and use LiteSpeed on all of my websites. I do have one question, it seems that LiteSpeed has sped up the Desktop version on my website but the mobile version was not affected. Running Google Page Insights the mobile version shows very slow. Is there a way to improve the mobile site as well?
You can checkout my perfmatters video its a companion plugin to a standard caching plugin it has the ability to load scripts on certain pages (it can even disable the plugin entirely now to reduce database queries) and has some other cool functionality
Nice walktrough! Only one question ive using Shortpixel how do i look then to the image optimization cos all images has been done now by shotpixel and also by litespeed witch one is getting used on my page now :) do i need to turn any settings off?
You can continue to use shortpixel for your image optimization instead of using litespeed which might be better for you since you have already compressed them.

The Minify in LiteSpeedCache should be sufficient for most websites. If you find yourself running into breakages (JS errors, or styles not correct) try using Autoptimize.
Configured Litespeed like in your tutorial with a great explanation. It bumped my scores by a bit that made me happy. Unfortunately, it causes a problem where the pages are not fully loaded properly. I don't see all the content like images and a Google Maps on my contact page. Whenever I refresh the page, everything comes back as it should. Any setting I have to return. Do you have an answer what to try?
For some reason it had to do with the Instant Click that caused problems with loading the images and Google Maps feature. Making the JS smaller and Bundle feature must be turned off to make use of the builder. Using Flatsome for this project.

Useful tutorial, however, there is one problem with the LiteSpeed plugin and the DIVI theme and it's with generate critical CSS, as soon as I enable this I always get a FOUC. Litespeed support tried and couldn't fix I tried everything and couldn't sort it. You would think such a popular plugin and such a popular theme there shouldn't be any issues? shame...
A small FOUC is sadly going to happen with certain themes its often times because the critical CSS generator fails at generating the correct CSS. You could try regenerating the critical css a couple of times but it does happen time to time!
Can you please tell me what settings are best for WooCommerce in de cache exclude section? The "Do Not Cache URIs" and "do not cache roles"? Do I select all or none?
i have apache can i still install this? also is it ok to enable cache plugin on wordpress and use a firewall cache at same time? i use securi firewall on our wordpress website along witg w3c total cache. sometime i feel cache issue not clearing properly or mostly the minification of js or css is always broken.
Okay so you can install litespeed cache on just apache but the page caching and a ton of other functionality won't work. You would probably do better on apache using cache enabler and autoptimize or paying for wprocket. Sucuri's firewall service (paid) caches the HTML this can lead to issues check their caching settings and set them to i think its minimal (so it doesn't cache the HTML )
Hey, When I enable JS combine, it disables my website logo ( both on desktop and mobile { i have different logos for both } ), and my mobile menu option ( toggle) doesn't work. But it helps alot with page speed rating. Can you help me with the solution. thanks
Hey, I used this plugin, as I got this pre-installed in my wordpress. And I used the same settings as you did, but after that.. my Admin account is facing issue. Whenever I am logged in as Admin. My banners and Images don't load. My slider freezes a one slide, can't change it. Don't know why. This only happens in my Admin account. If I'm logged out or anyone of my friends visit. Everything is fine. Can I know what could be the possible reasons?

I used on my site but I'm facing issue on site. when I open in incognito or any other browser it shows my latest post page(latest blog) instead of the static page, after refreshing the browser it shows the static page(Home page). I already checked the homepage setting in theme it configured static page for Home and blog. what do I resolve the issue? kindly suggest.

Sounds, like it could be an HTML validation issue in your theme. Try using the W3C Validator and see if you notice any major errors. Something like an unclosed tag I imagine could cause the issue. validator.w3.org/
I couldn't use the Gather Image Data. The "You don't have enough quota for current service left this month" popped out every time I hit the button. I have followed your image optimizing option tho.
@@SERTMedia I'm not using quic.cloud because mine is certainly connecting to Cloudflare. I didn't hit the optimize button yet but the stats still show the amount of 93% image has been prepared by Litespeed? I have once installed Litespeed Cache before, maybe the plugin's cache is still storing at my database?

So frustrating: this caching plugin works really well for most sites, but running a WooCommerce site, I notice it slows down page load times quite a bit on cache misses (ie: for all logged-in customers). It's super fast for people who are browsing the site for the first time and who aren't yet customers (because they aren't logged in), but once they buy something, the site slows down for them, which is a lousy user experience... like I'm punishing the people who have bought something from me. Arghhh. lol
Yeah that's the side effect of caching. You can't effectively page cache for logged in users or pages like the account page won't work correctly. A good host though combined with a cdn like cloudflare can make logged in performance much better!
About the Crawler feature, on my site it says:WARNING The crawler feature is not enabled on the LiteSpeed server. Please consult your server admin. I asked them about this they said its very high on CPU usage and they have it only on the VPS plans. Now I'm wondering if I should enable the crawler cron in General Settings and submit the sitemap in the Sitemap Settings or its useless.
Hi, at the beginning of the video Litespeed plugin is showing a message that says "all IPs in this list need to be whitelisted", could you please explain how to fix this? Thanks
You would whitelist this either in your htaccess file or if you have something like Cloudflare you will want to whitelist the service. Technically, you can bypass this step so long as after you have QUIC.cloud setup and working it doesn't technically matter.

You will probably need to exclude certain JS files to resolve this issue. You can exclude any JS file within the settings. Another alternative you can try is to disable the combine JS feature to see if that resolves the issue.

There are 2 components to memcached and redis there is the PHP extension which can be installed usually by CPanel. Then there is the memcached / redis dameon which is the process that runs on the server. You need root access to install this onto the server often times your hosting provider can help you with this. But if you don't have root access, and you aren't able to install the process you're not going to be able to connect to it. GoDaddy is a common host on their linux cpanel hosting that allows you to install under the PHP manager the redis or memcached extension but it doesn't run on the server so the connection will always fail. wordpress.org/support/topic/object-cache-connection-test/

Am having a problem and was wondering if the lightspeed cache plugin help preload the gallery section? FOUC Flash of Unstyled Content basically this is with elementor pro gallery. Can Basically, the content below the gallery is loading on top before the gallery and then slides down once the gallery is open. It kinda looks ugly. I would be very careful to follow this kind of guidance, as every site is unic and has own theme and plugins. Not all will support the same setting even if you're testing and monitor, search engine can have a very negative effect to your domain. Good luck.
Thank you for those great tip they really helped. I have a question if i may. Now i'm using elementor on ocean theme, after i setup the plugin i tested Exclude JQuery to be off. the issue accord that all images on the website isn't loading on my desktop chrome version, but the website runs smoothly on any other browser and on incognito. Hey mate, after installing litespeed. everytime myself or a users logs in the website, the page wouldn't load. well it loads partially, but everything is grayed out. I excluded admin, vendors, shop staff. but I left customer unchecked. after that it works, but I guess for the customer it would work if they log in. I can check the customer too, but then the whole point of caching will be useless, as I will be excluding everyone. do you have any suggestions. I have deactivated the plugin for now.
You shouldn't use the page caching functionality if you're having users login as it's going to cause many issues among dynamic content. For logged in users it's best to also have an object cache on the server such as redis or memcached installed to cache database queries!
