The thing is you are no longer using Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. You have changed battery chemistry to the batteries that do tend to have run away reactions causing fires. LiFePO4 batteries are significantly more stable and can deliver days of performance as well. Amped Outdoors makes terrific LiFePO4 batteries as well.

Lithium power is absolutely insane. You will love the run time out of that battery. If you find that 45amh isn't enough you can always go bigger. But from what I've gathered on efficiency on the live scope 5-8hrs doesn't seem far stretched by any means. (I am familiar with Lithium power from the car stereo field) 5000+ watts being powered by Lithium. 😋😁😉

We run our Livescope , black box and monitor on a 30aH Amped Outdoors battery and can run about 3 days on it.

How did you wire it? Do you have two different fuses , one for head unit and one for black box. Do you have on/off switch? I have a amped 19ah running the same two units. I just want enough to run maybe 6 hours.

Which battery did you get. LifePO4 or the NMC. I have a Livescope on the way and I'm leaning towards powering it this way.

I have been using the 49ah Amped battery just for my Garmin and it has worked flawlessly all summer. It will last at least 3 days. Very happy with the battery and the size is remarkable.

I just got a 106 garmin with a 32 transducer was wondering about the run time per day I’m new to the technology just trying to get my ducks in order I’ve heard 32 is all I need but I don’t want to push it

I rigged mine up yesterday for a Dewalt 20v lithium 9h battery. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Some people say the higher voltage helps.

I thought the same thing Jace, but continued looking with my side imaging. Our water is 35 to 36 degrees in northwest Missouri. I found them in the middle of larger coves and on spots where a smaller creek runs into a major creek. The water had to be 20’+ deep too, and they were schooled 10’ to 15’ deep. Keep looking, they are there man. And when you do find them, there will be a pile! Also, if you see more than 2 boats fishing in an area like this, so take a look.

I just bought a garmin 93sv uhd and live scope i want to buy a lithtium battery to just black box and gramin 9 what size battery do i need to to be sure i dont run put of power on tourmament day

On that battery you have are you having any problems with the connectors I have the 30 amp hour for my live scope know the winner haven't tried it yet but not real keen on the connectors what's your thoughts

I agree with you I do not like the connectors as well. But they do work, and I’ve never had a problem I have since moved onto a much larger lithium battery for the terminals are like standard terminals. Very nice insecure.

The different sizes of the Garmin screens consume the battery differently. What was the screen of your Garmin? I am thinking buying the Garmin 106 sv ultra for the 48amps.will I get 15 hours at least? What size of Garmin screen you had in this video??

@@3poundCrappiefishing 60!!?? How many hours did you get with the 48? Those lithium battery go down to 11v at least. Yours is Garmin 126 that's 12 inches. Mine will be 106 that's 10 inches. I might get 12+ hours with the 48

How did the battery do? I just bought a new livescope with a 12 inch screen. How long did it last on yours? I’m needing a battery, my 12 volt lead acid was down in 5-6 hours

I just ordered the 48amp 10 minutes ago. Another “retirement” gift for me. I’ve just got to figure out where to put it. I bought a LOWE 175 Stinger last year. Hoping theirs room in there. We will see.

Do you leave the black box hooked up? I have my amped under my front deck in a compartment. Easy access so I use alligator clips to power my black box, un hook when not in use. Kinda janky but whatever. If I knew it was safe to leave hooked up I would... Maybe turn transmit off on my screen turns off the black box🤷‍♂️

You can use a Minn Kota Precision charger (agm setting) but not a Minn Kota Digital charger.

You can look up your units amp draw on their websites. But calculating from what I remember you having, figure around 2amps per unit average. LS averages around 2 iirc. Conservatively all three would be 6 amps so that’s 48 amp hours for one 8 hour trip of continuous use. To get three 8hr trips each unit and the LS would have to draw no more than .6 amps. They’re gonna a draw less at higher voltages but still about an amp at max voltage. A single unit would last three days but not all three units for 8hrs/day. For most peoples usage, they might get 2 days worth but that isn’t continuous use I’m guessing you do. Edit: The major benefit is the fact that you won’t suffer from huge voltage drops as you drain them. They’ll work the same at full charge and almost depleted. Downside is you might not realize when they’re about to drop because the voltage is consistent but it’s a good trade off.
