This narrator explained the whole geopolitical big picture in less than a minute. Yes, this was a bone for Lithuania, but like Poland, they were also on the Soviet menu.

The Soviet menu was very vegetarian. Those Soviet barbarians built factories and kindergartens, schools and stadiums. And repressed, repressed. They were occupants. As a Lithuanian samogetian , I have to say that the English narrator was speaking the truth , we had a saying back then…Vilnius is ours and Lithuania is Russia’s is Russia’s. Our mistake was not excepting Germany’s offer in the event of war with Poland to join Germany and Germany would give back to Lithuania all the territory that the Polish took from Lithuania where is the Russians only gave Lithuania a third of the territory that Poland took from Lithuania. That situation we might’ve avoided being annexed by the Soviet union and as a defeated German ally ( like Hungry, Finland , Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Croatia ) we would’ve had a communist government installed by Stalin but we wouldn’t of been annexed to the USSR.

I'm a fascist ??? In the end it is you the Yung Lithuanians who are responsible for bringing the greatest tragedy into GDL and the collapse of the Commonwealth. It is tragic that non you don't realize what have you done and what really happened in 1918/22. Let take a look what is really hiding behind pictures in that movie. Lithuania become tiny and meaningless state, all Lithuanian intelligentsia exterminated, all of the property of Lithuanians looted, 100 years of poverty and hardship. All of that independence BS was and sill is only a cover up for the total collapse GDL.
