@@sokerdy When I tested the 200Ah it showed 180Ah ... 90% capacity in three months and not very many charge cycles.. they didn't care but they did refund and pay the shipping back .. big waste of my time.

@@sokerdy Your nice words don't change the facts. You battery was sub par on day 1 and you dragged me out three months an it was only 90% of the stated 200Ah. I think you may send some reviewers a good unit so that would test okay. There were no "negative" reviews. Maybe it is a contract thing. It took forever to get the problem resolved with a return and refund. A lot of my time and I end up with nothing. Feeling good with a hard to get return isn't really much when I needed a decent battery.

I tore down the new PowerQueen OTCB Smart. It's the exact same battery as this, they even have PowerQueen branding on the BMS, but its the same CirDance. Seems really good from my testing. Great video as usual!

The way these so-called "cheaper" batteries are increasing in price just because of low-temp cutoffs (and other gimmicks), has pushed me even closer to SOK. It's the last battery I'll buy so the one-time premium is no big deal given their build quality, proven warranty and reliability.

Yeah... charging $150 for smarter BMS is pretty much highway robbery! Wonder how much the upgraded hardware and labor cost the manufacturer....maybe $30.?.?. Maybe it's much more now, but hopefully that premium will drop drastically as production scale for those parts ramps and the R&D costs are recouped.

They seem to have addressed the low temp cutoff issue with every budget battery on the market. Bravo. But they are charging more for that when all the batteries in the same category were dropping the prices. Don't like that. They're still half the price of the Battleborn. But it was nice to see the market being less greedy and planning to make money in volume sales instead of knocking the customer over the head to get just 1 kWh!

The Only thing I don't like about this battery is it shuts off at -5F degrees. Although as you mentioned you can override that feature. Very detailed review Thanks 👍👍

You could wonder how many factories build this type of battery in China, not many is my conclusion. They are branded at the end of the production line, and go to the market with different price tags and instructions. Always save the shipping box if you need to return it for warranty.

I have a 12v 50lb trolling motor. I'm in MI so I'm not fishing under 50 degrees and I stop in the fall at about the same temp. Do I need all the fancy stuff ? Also how do you tell how much charge is left in the battery ?

Hello, do you have any idea how you can monitor the voltage of this battery? It has simple BMS from jbd and I don't know what voltmeter to look for it. I will use it on an electric boat motor.

I really dislike the welded connections. Although it is sealed you can pry it open you still cannot service the cells. Price wise if you have the money to throw away go for it. If You can service your own batteries stay away. Not worth it in the long run. Great video thank you.

Ok now how the heck does this work when you wire batteries in series? Manuel says you can do it, but then what happens when one of the two batteries reaches capacity? It disconnects, right? So then if any reaches capacity, it disconnects and that disconnects all the other batteries charging as well, right? And so then when discharging, so if any battery gets too low it also disconnects. hard to imagine how this works with only the positive and negative terminals being the "interface" for the battery. Am I overthinking this?

A shame the price difference between heated and non-heated is quite a bit. Is it really that much more expensive to make a battery heated? I believe heated pads aren't that expensive. Maybe you could make a video showing what it takes to make a heating system for non-heated batteries. (Or maybe you already made such a video?) Anyway thanks for another great video.

As I found out on Black Friday 2022 the company doesn't recommend their batteries for golf carts as the BMS can't handle the stress over time. The new Li Time doesn't recommend the battery for electric vehicles too even though they have a new BMS.

Correct, because those type of loads typically have a high start/inrush draw on the battery. I would say that's the case for most of the batteries I've been reviewing unless they have a super beefy BMS.

I charge ecoflow with these batteries through an xt60, the maximum power the ecoflow accepts is 100 watts, or 200 if charging through a 12-24 volt converter.

You could place the battery in a freezer for 24hrs then try connecting a charger and see if it starts charging.

An extra$250 for low temp sensor and a relay?!? The 300ah batteries are the best value in my opinion and still no smart version there. So if I were to buy 4 of these it'd cost an extra grand. I'm surprised there isn't a simple aftermarket low temperature switch to redirect power to heating pads off of charge input until desired temp is reached. Thanks for the tare down.

You would think a simple add would be possible If you buy a victron charge controller plus there $30 temp sensor you can use the cheaper batteries but victron is a premium price

Just like any metal welding, you cannot remove a weld without cutting. I don't recommend doing it as it's difficult to reconnect aluminum as you can't solder to it and most of us (none of us) have access to a laser welder.

Yes it does; however, that's a safety feature not intended to be used for daily charging/discharging control. You still need to use a proper LiFePO4 charger that has (or can be programmed) with LiFePO4 voltage settings.

I like to watch your reviews, thanks. One correction as for FETs. Charge and discharge FETs are located on both PCB sides! Charge controlling FETs always go to external negative terminal (output -) while discharge controlling FETs go to battery negative terminal. If dedicated shunt resistors are present (which is true for all the BMS except of cheap low-amps rated ones), they are always on Discharge FETs side. Charge and discharge FETs are always located in opposite orientation each other, having Drain (massive body plate) pins joined together. What is interesting for this BMS a dedicated group of 4 FETs on one side only, connected by 2 1Ohm resistors is series. I guess they are dedicated to soft connect-disconnect a fraction of second sooner/later (or pre-charge purposes) to decrease peak current spikes in such scenarios, which has a risk of kich-back current which can destroy main FETs rows. Keep going!

No difference at all. The "deep cycle" is just a marketing term thrown in there because people are used to seeing it with lead acid batteries.

Serious question and need an honest opinion.This is pretty urgent and time sensitive. Are these just as good as Battleborn and the other Lithium-Ion Sulfate batteries out there that seems to get popularity based on the name? We live up north and I know 10000% I'm going vanlife. My daughter, husband, and my grandchild literally just moved into there 20 yr old motor home and live in the north part of WI. They are going to end up way out in the country and park it on some land (they rented a spot) on this guy's land. Absolutely no water and no shore power. They went and got a Mr. Heater 10,000 btu propane heater and a 100 lb bottle. Of course they saud the floor is cold cold and I told them they need to get heat tape and get it on all the pipes and keep it at least to a temperature in there or they have to winterize it but then they can't use water, showering, etc. I've been telling my daughter to buy solar and we can build it ourselves. The huge thing is the batteries. It scares me because these battleborns are $700+ for just a 100 ah (ridiculous) and its discouraging wondering how any of us can do off grid. Are these Li Time batteries just as good as the others even though these are half the price? I just want an honest answer. I told her she needs a minimum of 400 ah and she can go higher as she goes - which she'll keep adding more solar and upgrade the control charger on the list. They have a 120V furnace and im thinking why not just run that to the inverter? I'm sure it will heat the motor home better and just might be more cost affective. I also told her they need to close in the bottom around the sides on the outside of the motor home and insulate it to help it not be so cold under the motor home to help with pipes and the cold floors. I would very much appreciate your help! Please! Ty

It’s not a reliable company, the company not responsible for missing packages. The FedEx made a mistake delivered my packages to wrong address, and li time us doesn’t want to refund my money. Already deal with them almost a month, now I have to do dispute on my credit card charges. It’s been a terrible experience.

I've not heard of that charger before; however, I looked up the specs and see it's rated for 12/24/36/48V and is rated for LiFePO4 - so yes, it should work fine. Those mulit-bank chargers that handle equalization are pretty nice - I need to grab me a few for some videos.

Does not look like there is any space between the cells. Other brands using prismatic cells have better design spacing. Interesting with the name change, Li Time sounds straight out of China.

👎 Disappointed. I have 3 litime batteries. I’ve just had one fail after only one year of little use. 100 size. I have contacted their customer service and will update on how they handle warranty.

Chinese Battery companies marketing departments need an American in the mix, the name Li Time doesn't inspire confidence, either does Redodo..They make good batteries, at a great price..But the names are literally undermining the product...If you don't speak English, I guess you don't understand...
