The only thing that I see as racist is the obvious gross misrepresentation of the black people through the art. While there were and still are black people in Indian, where this story was set, Tigers do not live in Africa. To me the cartoon is more intellectually insulting than racist.

LOL. Thank God I am not a 'racist' white person. I appear white on the outside, but my red blood is filled with DNA from the Irish and the English, also from the Cherokee. And according to my aunt's DNA test, just a tad of black. Don't know where that came from as there is no mention in our family tree. Still, I don't care. But you mentioned past lives. As a child I had dreams that appeared to be past life memories. In one dream I lived on the outskirts of Pompeii and watched as the fires fell from Mt. Vesuvius. I did not survive. In one dream I was a child of Britain who hid away with the family as Hitler's bombs fell on our home. Again I did not survive. Another dream I was a black man facing a mob of white sheets and burning torches as they waited to hang me. And once again I did not survive. People make much ado about the cover of a book. But it is the words written on the pages that intrigue. The color of my skin changes from time of the year, to how much I work in my garden. But it is the words out of my mouth and my actions that make me a woman of worth. I do not give credit to those whose job it is to malign others. Their bank accounts, and social standing only affects me if I let it. Those who would call me names are only as powerful as I allow them to be. And those who know me will know the truth or the lie. And at the end of the day, as I say my prayers for my friends and family, I try to remember my enemy. Even they can use God's help.
