Josh has a great voice and has really gone for getting his head round the alternative tuning with 5 strings which Jacob uses on his guitar (D, A, E, A, E). But I'm perhaps a little disappointed that he didn't attempt the more complex modulation of key which occurs a little later in Jacob's own version of his song.
Absolutely incredible! Can I ask how you got the vocal so clear? It seems 100% live but you turn your head from the mic its still crystal clear! Unbelievable job
@@ytho6479 thank you so much! It’s a condenser mic, so it picks up a lot more and has a larger range than a dynamic mic. I also put a compressor on the vocal chain so it balanced the louder and quieter moments out
Sounds good! Keep up the hard work learning tough songs. Good idea taking the string off. It might make it harder now that you’re used to it this way but if you loosen the two high strings enough you can take the pins out of the saddle and move them each over to get the 5 strings together. Removes the awkward gap. Didn’t seem to bother you though!
Sounding very nice! For my personal taste, you don't need to go so heavy on the reverb. I'd like to hear how your voice and guitar actually sound in those woods. But that's a nitpick and you played beautifully
Thanks Dude! Yea I was trying to emulate Jacobs video, which was in a church and had a ton of reverb. But I do like that idea, it would make it more personal
