Howzit Big Braddah! Actually, I just saw your little brother's video of fishing Hilo Breakwall...I used to live in Pepeekeo & Puna for a long time, so it's nice to hear & see you Local Boyz out having fun fishing & other kine stuff...I used to throw net at the beach inlet at a place called North Topsail Island in North Carolina, just south a bit from Cape Hatteras...they make really good throw nets in North Carolina, & I used to catch choke bait fish @ the inlet--then used da bait fish to catch Puppy Drum Fish & big Red Drum Fish...when I lived on the Big Island, I was more into surfing & scuba diving...I saw a huge lobster off Keaukaha one night when scuba diving, but I was on a group dive & we left him alone...another time, I was free diving way out past the reef during the day at Keaukaha and two big ulua swimming side-by-side swam right past me...they're really beautiful fish to see swimming underwater...I live in San Diego now for the past 23 years, but I'll always love the Big Island, & the people of Hawai'i

@Just bent Fishing I figured you wanted to get out there & see the world 🌎 someday & fish some amazing places--that's why I mentioned North Carolina, & also where I live now in San Diego...I'm originally from the East Coast, & I surfed & fished in New Jersey, where I grew up, for many years...one of my favorite things to do in the summer in NJ was to go out on the party boats & go night fishing for bluefish...they put out choke chum in da wata & the big schools of bluefish come in and attack your bait...it's unreal sometimes with the water boiling with angry & very hungry bluefish...they're not huge fish, but they are extremely strong & aggressive, & they will bend any heavy deep see fishing rod right over...also, my parents are from Boston, & I used to fish a lot off of Cape Cod...the fishing for many different species is great all over the coast of New England...plus, in Maine especially, get ckoke lobsters 🦞 , & they're the ones with the big claws, & they taste amazing when you typically boil em up & then dip the meat in warm, liquid butter, with fresh boiled corn-on-the-cob (also glazed with hot butter, & salt-n-pepper), plus all kine other side grinds...so ono! Then, still on the East Coast, the fishing in Florida is phenomenal. As to San Diego, the fishing is great here too. This is the spot to come & then go out on an overnight, or even a 2-3 day charter boat & go after the big bluefin & yellowfin tuna...the tuna fishing has been amazing around here for the past several years, & you could literally go out on a charter with the very real possibility of catching a 100-200 pound tuna...then, you get your catch professionally fileted & processed (Fisherman's Processing will pick up your catch right at the dock, &, in a day or two, you will have many pounds of beautifully cut & vacuum-sealed tuna filets to take back to Hawai'i...if you caught one of those big 100-plus pound tuna, it would be well worth the expense, & an amazing experience...also, one final word about fishing spots you gotta go to, which are easy from Hilo or Kona by Air, is Alaska--my wife, Mana, was Native Hawaiian & we took a trip to Juneau one summer...she had won a free fishing trip for a week at a fishing lodge on a small island off of Juneau, which was owned by a family from Kaua'i...my wife caught so much fish--every kind of salmon, plus huge halibut...we were eating fish from Alaska, back in Hawaiian Paradise Park for about 6 months after that trip...you absolutely cannot beat Alaska for fishing...tight lines Braddah!
