What caused the estrangement? They’re portraying her as a sad mom, but kids don’t just up and abandon their parents for no reason. The fact that she didn’t reveal the reason and her part to play in the estrangement is very telling. Maybe she was controlling. Maybe she doesn’t like his spouse. Maybe there was abuse. I’m not gonna implore a stranger to call his mom when I don’t have the full story.

Out of interest I googled to see if Jan did end up reconnecting with her son. I can’t find anything but there is a memorial for a Jan Popp who passed away in 2017. She was 58. I don’t know if it’s her but I hope they were able to reconnect x

Estranged means that they don’t talk or see eachother at all anymore. They might have gotten in a verbal fight a long time ago, and haven’t seen eachother since. She wrote to him to say she’s sorry and misses him and wants to see him again

Seven years have elapsed since this happened which Chris would now be 45. I hope he is alive and they have reconciled. I didn't speak to my parents for three years and after bygones became bygones the issues were forgotten.
Wait up. Something's fishy. She is Jan and she said she wrote the letter for Chris, her son. But on the letter, it says *"Hi I am Chris".* So basically, she is not the one who wrote it but her son.

Because they found the bottle. Report it to Inside Edition. Then Inside Edition post the video. Then later on, the mother found out and contacted them about it. So if they have to put the videos together, they would have to go back and delete the other, then use that old video, then combine it with this. They would lose views and it's easier this way.
You know where I live common to see your parents weekly or sometimes monthly and if you live abroad or far away they take whatever day off (not the sick leave) they can to visit their parents
