“Alive” is being generous for a video with a one sentence description, no details within the video, no target release window, no road map, and still no communication (besides said video). We wouldn’t even have a title if not for several year old trailers. It may as well just be a short film framed as a video game.
You don’t see shallow depth of field like this very often in a game, looks neat. If anyone unclear bout DoF it just means only part of image is in focus and it’s often used to move viewer attention from one thing to another, usually something in distance to something closer to viewer or the reverse
This looks like it has so much potential! You can make a game look so much more beautiful when you embrace the limitations of the medium instead of trying to make something hyper-realistic
Depends on art direction, UI, marketing and a thousand other things, this was never a "hyper realistic" project to begin with so i don't know why you would say that.
@@prawngravy18 it just makes me think of other games that aim for realism and inevitably fall short of the mark, and age. Whereas stylization is timeless. You don't have to agree with me, I was just blurting out how the trailer made me feel
Gyat dayum! Thank you!!! I wish more developers and production houses accepted this. I'd rather see unique stylized masterpieces than unplayable photorealistic cash-grabs.
Bro this game has been announced almost 4 YEARS AGO, not only announced it was showcased with a lot of gameplay, almost done and they sit on this for 4 years.
Its been 9years of lies, lacking communication and failing on every promised release date. Plus the game actually seems to run worse in this trailer than it did in the last one? Whats going on with this shit, seriously. They took over 300k in kickstarter money, i think its fine to actually not let em catch a break for once.
I've been playing games for a long time. This is one of the most unique-looking games I've ever seen. Whenever it drops I'm there. Take your time devs.
I always adored model sets with tiny landscapes, towns, and yes even the trains,a Tiny version of the world and this game's artstyle, especially the world map exploration!, brings back those feelings! *I am so very happy to see something from a Game I almost believed was dead!*
I was literally just looking for info on this game the other day and am so happy to have an update! It looks amazing, and I'm really excited for whenever the developers feel ready to release it.
I remember seeing this game years ago, and i immediately put it on my radar. I hope to god theyre doing alright over at the studio, from what it seens like theyre putting together something real great. I cannot, and i mean CANNOT wait to play this when it releases.
the fact the Trailer is called "Despite It All" should tell you a thing or two about this games struggles. Bravo lads, glad the project is still alive!! EDIT: It looks single player AF but tbh having a 4 player or even 2-3 player coop available would be AMAZING. This game looks insanely polished and fun to play with friends!
I've been wanting to find out more about this game for a long time I'm glad they're going through with it, that short trailer they released before had me hooked
So excited to see how much progress has been made. The visuals are stunning and music sounds so pleasant. I'm looking forward to when it finally gets released!
Looks gorgeous and also very intriguing. I'm on board for this one. And as others have said, you take the time you need, devs. The work so far looks absolutely amazing!
lol this was slated to launch in 2016 originally… I’m all for devs taking proper time to complete a game but development hell doesn’t usually lead to a good game.
@@iwouldntlikemeeitherthey said this game is what sold them on the PS5 implying they got a PS5 to play this, but it’s not exclusive so it doesn’t make much sense to say you got a specific console for a non exclusive game
@@dragzkingwhy exactly does someone’s inspiration bother you so much? They never said it was exclusive. Just that they were inspired . Why not just let them be happy?
@@dragzking When this game was first announced it was during the PS5 reveal, so for me this game reminds me of that hype period of a new console generation
Is it just me or does this game look like what Final Fantasy 7 Remake should have been. The open world map is everything I wanted FF7 remake to be. I'm so glad this game is still in the works
Jeez every time they announce a game it always takes years until we hear from it again. Like I wanna see a dev team release a game when know one expects it. That would be a nice surprise.
Apex Legends dropping as soon as it was shown is the pinnacle of this, in my opinion. Hype and making people wait too long to receive the product can be a double-edged sword. This is the first I’m seeing about this game so I’ve been out of the loop on this specific title, however I am a firm believer in “better late than never” with game releases.. so long as a finished product is released (eventually) and those that were interested get to experience it. I’m still waiting for “The Last Night” but that probably ain’t happening! 😢
@@brandonwilliams6221 that's only to appease shareholders. A good game will pick up the speed it deserves, and does not need to have 100k+ downloads by the end of the week to be a good game. If the game is good, people will talk. Does that mean it needs no marketing? No, but it doesn't need a year's notice unless it's a situation like we have here. This was just a "we are still making this game" kind of update, for a game that was announced a while back. The mistake to market it back then was a bad idea, because now they gotta market their check-ins.
Oh no guys, rexxsar101 expects the game to launch soon! Gotta up the pace, otherwise what will happen?? Nothing. If the game never releases too, it won’t make a difference
The HUD is too minimalist. I need more meters, numbers flying at me, there should be a super bar, also a counter for time trials. Money too and a random picture of a frog on the bottom right to look at from time to time
omg I am so excited to see this game still being worked on! I feel like it's been 10 years at least at this point that I saw the very first trailer come out
about 9 years. originally planned to release in 2015, then moved to 2018, 2021, 2022.... lol. I'm not hating, I've been on lookout for this game since the first trailer 9 years ago- it looked so special and unique, and still does! It definitely feels like a small team passion project and they want it to be really good, but also cant fully dedicate themselves to work on it. =/
Omg I was just thinking about this game a few weeks ago and was so sad that I didn't hear any news from it. Really hope it releases one day good luck to the creators they have done an awesome job so far.
Very excited about this game. It looks incredible and the story telling aspect of it makes it more intriguing. Traveling via map and entering the region looks super cool as well.
Such a journey this game has been on! All the choices made for the graphics and style and music are pitch perfect, a love letter to the art form. I will gladly wait. ^_^
Woah, this is the first I've seen on this game. I had no idea what to expect. The incremental reveal of combat, mystery, and a little bit of horror was so cool. Definitely keeping an eye on this
I can’t wait for this game to release!! Love everything about it from the art direction to the music and sound design. The atmosphere and world seems so intriguing, can’t wait to explore and play this when it comes out
Stunning, this was my first encounter with this game. I love everything I saw. It's everything I want in a game. I'll be excited for the day I get to play it.
