Little known feature on several toyotas. Windshield wiper heater 

just bought our first Camry. Our brother in law has 750000 iles on his, thought we would try one. Watched this from a search of "heated wipers".

I have that button, i never known that is for heating wipers and you know what I’m living in cold weather here . Good to know that what it does. Thanks man you just saved my wipers for whole winter season .

😊thank you. I am just upset that my salesman didn't inform me about this. I also just had to replace the passenger mirror and upon reading the description I found out they are heated but I had no idea how it worked until you just told me. Thank you

Having owned a Ford Fiesta, I'm in the UK, it comes as standard with a quickclear heated windshield, it has very fine heating element through the windscreen and Ford has had this feature on its cars in Europe since 1985. It will melt the ice off the whole windshields in under a minute, very good feature

The guy at the dealer told me to it was for the wipers to auto detect if there was rain on the windshield.

I have a 2021 Rav 4 and have the button. I thought it might be for wiper defrost, but thank you for showing us! We are set to get up to 21 inches of snow this week. This will be very handy!

I just noticed mine on my 2005 Toyota Caldina GT4 Turbo...weather in Wellington New Zealand isn't bad for snow but for ice. Winter almost here so this will be put to good use. Cheers..

It is so strange that the RAV4 with the cold weather package has this but not heated mirrors. Although I think there might be a passage for heat inside the car to get to the inside of the side mirrors and defrost them that way.

Had that button since 2018. It’s now 2023. Never new what it was till now.

I had a new mini van ford, in Germany that had front window defroster across all of the front window. The lines were in a "W" pattern. You had to LOOK to see them

I’m glad to know what that button is for. I’ve had my 22 RAV4 for a year and recently used the button while it was raining after I’d read it was a wiper warmer. Guess it’s not needed for rain, unless it’s freezing. But what is the button to the left with the headlight symbol?

Do 2019 highlander have set temperatures that rear, mirror, and wiper defroster come on auto at certain Temps when you remote start.

I have a 2013 highlander and it seems like the heated wiper feature only lasts for 10 minutes and then turns off. Any way tonextend that timer to 20 min or more?

RAV4 2022.. ? Windshield wipers totally freeze up icy and makes it hard to clear the window. This vehicle, we use it as a work vehicle that picks up multiple people during the day... Hopefully I'm missing something...that is available for this issue... I have a front window defroster a rear window defroster... So hopefully I'm just missing where the button is for the lower windshield where the windshield wipers actually sit... I do need to check what level of RAV4 it is.. 4:36 (My note for reference: Winter Weather Package, Above XLE)

I'd ALSO push the front defroster too for the rest of the glass

I wonder why this is eliminated from the US versions of the Venza. I have used it quite a bit on my Highlander, but on the Venza I have ordered it will be missing. Apparently, our Canadian friends still have this feature...
