Ingredients
For Rice
Little millet 1 cup
Water 3-4 cups
For Upma
Little millet 1/2 cup
Oil
Mustard seeds
curry leaves
Cumin seeds
green chilli
Ginger
Onion
carrot
green peas
Cabbage
Turmeric powder
Salt
grated coconut
lime juice
Roasted groundnuts
Coriander leaves
water 21/2 cups
For millet curd rice
Cooked millet
Curd/yoghurt 1 cup
Salt
Oil
Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds
Curry leaves
hing/asafoetida
green chilli

Mam,millets need to be soaked for 6-8 hours before cooking so as to release the phytic acid content which may prevent the absorption of nutrients

Madam, you are absolutely right in socking little millet. But better results will come by soaking for 5 to 6 hours for best results.

Good one. My only query is that any siridhanya has to be soaked in water for 6 to 8 hours before cooking as per Dr Khader Valli. Pl confirm.

Its true all millets need 6 to 8 hours of soaking ...my gandma used to do it too...coz its very high in fibre and d core needs to get water which takes soaking
