In the spring of 2024 the Little River Railroad of Coldwater, Michigan celebrated 50 years since founder Terry Bloom rescued locomotive 110 from dereliction in Seymour, Tennessee and brought it home with him to Indiana, where he restored it to operation and began offering excursions on the Indiana Northeastern Railroad. To mark the occasion, 110 and tank engine no. 1 pulled a doubleheader excursion from Coldwater to Quincy along the ex-New York Central "Old Road." While a relatively short run, seeing these two beautifully restored locomotives ramble through the Michigan countryside was well worth the trip up from 110's old home in Tennessee and it was great to be present on such a historic occasion.
Also included is a shot of Amtrak Midwest's Wolverine departing Battle Creek earlier that morning.
