Would be nice to see those old Kodak flatcars back in service although most are long scrapped. Think there’s one left but with no wooden exterior. 538 iirc
It’s recently been reported that 6 board members of the Virginia Museum of Transportation have resigned. Due to this, N&W 611 will unfortunately not be running at all this year in 2024. Hopefully the Spirit of Roanoke, AKA the Queen of Steam, won’t be retired from service for the third time anytime soon. It really deserves to have a long excursion career unlike its first excursion career from 1982 to 1994.
Awesome video dude, but bro R.I.P to the sound barrier at 14:35 with 611 and the Amtrak blowing whistles and horns to each other. Oh Jesus dude RIP to the Sound Barrier HERE AT 18:18 the poor sound barrier got blasted
i am one of the biggest fans of the GSMR because my grandparents used to live there and ever since you started doing videos on 1702 i have loved your channel so much!
It has been MANY MANY YEARS since I've seen a red Southern Railroad Caboose. Back in the 70's, I would ALWAYS see these at rail crossing on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, South Carolina near the Bi-Lo grocery store I used to work at. I would ALWAYS WAVE to the men in the caboose. More times than not, they'd wave back.😊😊😊😊
nice video (as usual); so refreshing to have videos where the subject matter rules completely and the videographer does not try to make themselves the center of attention
Fantastic video dude! This is probably the best video of 2102 on the Lehigh Division i have seen so far, with great locations, and she put on a show to no ones suprise. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you! Unfortunately since a site called railserve went offline a few weeks ago there isn’t a single aggregator of excursion train schedules, you’ll just have to keep an eye on the websites and social media pages for any railways you’re wanting to visit. The bigger events will get a mention from Railfan & Railroad and Trains Magazines so I would definitely follow them on social media. If you know when & where you’ll be over here, I or any other railfan would be more than happy to fill you in what’s going on.
Excellent write up and really great filming. We always enjoy your videos. Have a happy and safe 4 th of July. We will be patiently waiting for your next video.
Railroad brothers and rail fans. Please research, support, and spread the word of the noble attempts of the Reading and Northern to acquire the Shamokin Valley RR. Ahead!
