It now has the full version of Stephen Housden's guitar
solo at the end of the song.
The audio of the telecast version is very different (sounding) from
the raw footage so the change between the two is rather abrupt.

This was a amazing concert that I attended when I was a young 26 year old with my wife , John Farnham had a incredible night and the band was spot on so glad it up on you tube for us to view still up there with one of the best shows I ever been too , For you info I was 4 rows from the front on the left hand side of the stage

This song came on the work truck radio because it only gets shitty stations. So, I listened to it, and really enjoyed it. It was the original vocalist/version. So then I come here and find this WAY better version, Both absolutely above par. Didn't appreciate this song in its heyday but now can't get enough of it.

Amazing how different this arrangement is from the recorded version. Both are terrific in different ways. The Little River Band was always a creative group, no matter who was on stage.

I find this track, in this live version then ... unique. The singer John Farnham and the guitarist Stephen Housden are very good. I recommend everyone, repetitive listening to this song at least three times will make you feel good !!

I wish I would have seen them in concert in there prime. Never was near me in concert when I was in Military. Wish music was still like this but can always listen to all the music from then :). 60's, 70's, 80's had so much transition but yet it was all great music.

Yet, if they only knew what a RAT he was, and that he would be stealing the band's name and use of the LRB logo from them, they would have kicked him off the stage that instant. What he has done to the REAL LRB is dirty, and disgusting at best. He is no more LRB than I am. I don't know how he can stand up there and play Graeham and Glenn's songs, and lay his head on his pillow at night, Sad Sad!!

He does do a great job but I just don't feel it like I do with the other singer. I guess because I remember when it was released and got a lot of airplay. I become attached to original versions of songs.

Gary Brown introduced me to these guys in the early 80's when he was singing with The Rhondels. That's when Gary and I first met. They were at The Virginia Beach Dome.

John Farnham is a phenomenal singer, his 4 years with LRB is such a tiny part of his 5 decade career - plenty more of his stuff for you to check out if you're interested. Always listen to him live, his voice is perfection and much better than his studio stuff. Try his stuff with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra or his Chain Reaction concert tour for a start, but there's so much to discover.

Scotabot thats John Farnham. He’s a legend. He was the lead singer for LRB for about 3 years in the 80s. Not a singer on the planet can match him, even now and he’s 71.

Stephen Housden doesn't get enough credit. He is a great guitar player who played be bop jazz to rock 30 years ago!! If you listen to him hear and I have heard him do it live its just a fender amp and reverb. Being from down under he is not in the US much and honestly that has hurt his critical acclaim as not being as well know.

Great song from back in my day, The original singer did a superb job on this song, This guy here certainly kicked it up a notch with a lot of phrasing and accenting to his vocals, The rest of the band is tight as usual and the guitar player, Well all I can say is ...... Tremendous!

God Damn John can sing...I know some members of LRB were not real happy with John as Lead Vocalist because he is such an entertainer and probably stole a lot of the limelight...Still what a Magnificent Band :)

It pretty much sums it up that John Farnham's vocal range meant that he could sing Glenn's songs, but Glenn Shorrock couldn't sing John's.

Why not? I DJ 70's & 80's music I would play this out. This is beyond one of those throw backs. And no I won't play the original. John's version kicks ass, the vocal adlibs are nice. Can you say the same about the garbage music played today? I really dislike the sound of the drums from the raw footage. Where that come off the monitor split?

John Farham is a far superior vocalist to Glenn. The original is wonderful, but Farnsey is next level with a big vocal range and the ability to sing any genre. It's why we call him "The Voice" in Australia. He's a legend

If u want to hear the BEST version of Reminiscing, go to YUICHI KUBOTA SURF & MELODIC Little River Band Live Classics Full Album 1:15.55. Glen is in his prime!! Housden does a much better solo. And Peter Beckett is with them. I treasure that album. Of course the older stuff with Beeb and Graham is great. Go there and listen. Tell me what u think. Thank u!!!!

Nah, John Farnham has a bigger vocal range and has had a huge career in Australia. Glenn's stalled after LRB. Listen to Farnham sing the Beatles' "Help" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Orchestra. He's brilliant
