I would like to point out that Grobletombus Marble Eyes is credited as the god of the CONCEPT of Life. As such, they are not the god of life, or birth, or anything of the sort, but rather the ideas that people have about it. As such, it seeks to punish Runmo for not doing as people conceive should be the right thing for life. Even though all Runmo wants to do... Is live.

This would be a cool game concept like actually, you could play the first level normally and the rest of the game would be a cutesy normal playformer, but if you slide down the hole it’s a completely different game

The single most-important thing an animation can do to leave a lasting impression on me is to feel like a view into someone else's dream. Infinity Train felt like I was watching a nightmare, Twelve Forever felt like just a good, fun, childlike dream, and Over the Garden Wall floated somewhere in between. Little Runmo absoLUTELY made me feel like I was watching somebody's nightmare play out; everything that happened within this whole morbid world made sense just within its own context, and that made it intriguing as hell. So...dang, Goose, you made something really, really awesome. Thanks for sharing this with the world, I know I enjoyed it! 👏✨✨

So it turn out I was obsessed with this vid in the past, and now i'm obsessed with TADC.. this really bought me back reeeal far-

Runmo dilates his pupils so cutely when he gets excited, even though the situation is tense, it's so adorable

I could not have predicted what direction this was going to go in at any single point. Love it

Its weird when i get actually scared, but the meatball man just made me feel like this video got into my wierdest yet scariest nightmares, that scene some will find it funny but i found it really unnerving, something that made me feel really weird and scared like never before, congrats to the person who made this animation 10/10 this is the exact representation of what anxiety and weirdness would look like.

So I just learned about this today after the latest (at time of writing) episode of Disc Only Podcast where The Meatball Man is mentioned and I've got to say this is such a brilliant and surreal ride from start to finish.

Meatball man is really something of a Lovecraftian horror: you can’t beat him, you can’t even fight him, all you can do is to try not to be driven mad by just knowing that he is somewhere out there, and hope that he never considers you or your world anything worth destroying or conquering. All you can do, is hide in a corner and pray for your life to not be ended by this eldritch horror that, no doubt, has already destroyed countless worlds and will destroy many more.

In the chat replay when the meatball man apears someone said "what is the meating of this" and I feel you should know about this.

Lol this was brilliant! I always wondered what happened to my characters when they fell down those holes as a kid. In my head cannon they're still falling, like endlessly tumbling down that hole forever. This is is a much cooler idea haha

This animation gives me WILD Felix Colgrave (the creator of Double King, etc.) vibes, but manages to stand all on it's own through a cleverly made soundtrack, captivating visuals, heavy usage of video game tropes, and all around heart. This is inspired work, and its clear you had fun seeing this idea to fruition. I'm excited for more! A serious delight to watch. I expect a full Meatball Man waltz.
