It's almost like she made something that's so universally relateable from childhood trauma, to a burning passion for a craft, and reached deep within the audience's soul to bring up lost memories that were key to solving some puzzle in our emotions and that's why everybody, everywhere, is bawling tears. 😂

THAT LYRICS! just want to say thank you to Simz. And that visualization, such a speechless. Her lyrics were always authentic, but this one gave me chances to lookback my trauma and cure my mind. I mean really, this album deserves album of the year.

It’s super impressive how Litte Simz handles so big issues, personal and up to date themes, packs it in brilliant poetic lines and performs it by relying on such a wide and very personal voice/rap/singing range, while managing to match it with orchestra parts, Afrobeats, grime and other styles (even if it’s just a provocative play on the borders) and the more I read the lyrics it shocks me that it all is performed with such a inclusive style… Sorry if it’s hard to read or If some words don’t match, I’m no native speaker nor have i a big Know-how of the english music business - just a normal guy from germany, who heard the album and can’t stop replaying it! Big love from germany, you totally catched the Zeitgeist in this album!

Goddammit Simz...I literally finally stopped crying whenever I heard this song. Now I'm back to doing it again 😂 the painting really sent me over the edge. Because it's like you, a total stranger, have just layered on all of this symbolism that is strangely very personal to me. Obviously, music is universal and I don't mean any of this in a creepy-stalker-kind-of-way. It's just kind of insane how specific every detail is. Listening to this song also feels a bit bizarre because at first, it was raw. Now it's morphed into an odd feeling of closure. I doubt that makes much sense, but I have a feeling that in the future, I will be able to listen to this and smile.

You and your production team should just make a hip hop opera at this point. Every single one of these videos feels like it belongs in one.
