Littlewoods Rebirth Update and demolition of the Tower Day 1

On this visit to Littlewoods they have begun to demolish the Tower due to Neglect and Fire, This has made the tower totally unsafe, The tower was actually moving in the wind. Once demolished the clearance of this section can begin, Its been far to unsafe for anyone to go in. Also while there i have a good look at what else has happened since my last visit. The East building has now been fully cleared.

What a fantastic site to work on Paul 👍👍This is going to be a Fantastic project. Once it is finished and this will be a few years in the making, it will look stunning 🤩 and bring in lots of jobs for the future 👍👍👌🏻👌🏻 Nice update Paul YNWA Sparky 🍻🍻

Such a shame that the original tower has to be demolished but it's good that as pert of the planning permission it's going to be rebuilt as an exact replica of the original. 😊👍

Absorbing. Welcome back, Paul. The attempt to create a new gutter or plughole at the side of the top of the tower so that the water on top could drain down the sides was interesting.

It was the Littlewoods pools building. its only the tower being demolished due to it being unsafe after a fire. it will be rebuilt and the building is to become a film and studio complex

I was wondering. Does the machine operator work to a plan from a structural engineer, or go from experience, when bringing down a structure such as this?
