I was surprised upon first listen to hear how 'not metal' it was. It's pretty heavy in orchestral/symphonic instrumentation but it pairs well with Liturgy's burst beats and Hunter's vocals

Hunter is honestly an inspiration, I’m glad she’s still doing amazing music.

I’d love to see more trans artists in black metal. Breathe some new life into the genre with their differing sources of inspiration, make the community less of a cookie-cutter stereotype, show that great artists in any genre can come from anywhere

I've waited for this review since the album came out! Honestly my favorite album from Liturgy to this point. I was blown away. My only complaint is that it could've been longer.

I gotta say that anthony has such a lovely wide and deep palette for music! From RnB to black metal, I feel he genuinely has love for every genre!

Gotta give this one a listen. You might look into, in a similar stylistic vein, Corpo Mente and related projects (maybe you already know of Ricinn, Oxxo Xoox, and certainly Igorrr).

When Melon said, “This album is LIT... ...urgy.” I didn’t get it.

listenened to the album after i checked the description, even before the review started, actually got 8 seconds into the video. this album is fuckin crazy weird but also i’m living for it. halfway through SIHEYMN’s Lament.

I understand why you had to crop the album cover a bit, but you didn’t have to spend half of the video trying to replicate the full album cover using your own body. Seems kinda counter-intuitive to me.

It sounds esoteric.

‘Apparition of the Eternal Church’ is a reference to the organ piece by Olivier Messiaen, one of the greatest musical minds of the 20th century.

Album suggestion: Garten der Unbewusstheit by Corrupted. It's meditative, spritual and done with meticulous perfectionism. It's hard to pin down the genre, so mayve listen and decide for yourself. It's not new by the way but it's very underrated so I think it can get some attention it deserves through your work.

Idk about this one, it was pretty disappointing to me. Seemed like a big step down from HAQQ

This album disappointed me. Lot of instrumental experimentation with no real dynamics. Hardly any black metal elements, tracks that seem to go nowhere, etc.
