Best part about him was how his 'fatality' in the original Mortal Kombat was hardly a fatality. It just goes to show how pure hearted he was and not wanting to resort to killing, but only did after the original game when the shaolin monks were massacred, and became willing to kill just to avenge them.

I need more backstory for this man, ever since that Cetrion line “You have Onaga’s fire” “Human are always so sure of themselves” if hes Onaga’s son means he has the Dragon Kings blood running in him + Raiden’s Godhood. Making him an absolute beast.
Liu Kang is probably the single most underutilized MK character in recent times. Other than (finally) being the main character near the end of MK11 he had been shafted from his main character status in the last few games as well as the damn movie. Like to see him making a comeback
Well for one, protagonists are definitely NOT always good characters. Secondly, MK11 was like the only Netherrelm game that Liu Kang was the main character in
@@dev-4525 Not in Netherrelm games. In MK9 he was killed off, in MKX he was an antagonist. And if you wanna go even further back, he was dead for the last couple of Midway games
They killed him at the start of mk deadly alliance removing him from the next game too and returning as a zombie in Armageddon. He also wasn't the main character in mk 9 or x

Liu Kang wouldn't be a threat or Kronika would've gotten rid of all the gods, Liu Kang became stronger than an elder God fused with 2 Liu Kangs and Raiden which is why he was able to defeat Kronika, and after that he gained even more power

Apparently they changed up the bicycle kick in this one. If I remember right they called it the “Dancing Dragon” and showed him spinning while kicking in mid air.

The end of mk11 when he fights 3v1 and summons his chi into flame combined with the awesome musical score was perfect entertainment. As a longtime fan of Liu kang, it felt so cathartic watching my boy finally take center stage and whip ass. “Feel the ginsei flowing through you.”🔥🔥🔥
I expect Liu Kang to bring a sort of mortal perspective to the godhood of Raiden’s legacy. Raiden had such wisdom and insight, but I feel like he could never truly connect with people because he was an immortal god and everyone else was simple mortals. But since Liu Kang was once a mortal himself and now given these abilities, he has so much power, but still with the sensibility and control of his mortal mind.
I just love how Lui Kang started out as just a Bruce Lee clone but from MK2 on has developed so far from that, that you don’t think about that with him at all.
I loved Liu Kang as a kid just because he was so fun to play. Everything else was litterally a bonus learning later he's an essential character in the Mortal Kombat stories and history. Litterally changing or making peace through the merging or being in different realms before he became a God😅. Even if he wasn't the chosen one he's still one character you'd have to remember.
It's kind of funny how scorpion is on the cover of all the Mortal Kombat games but isn't the main character in any of the stories but Liu Kang is on the cover of this one and he's the main character.
Liu Kang went through a lot and he was saved by Raiden in giving his powers in the process making Liu Kang as both Fire and Thunder demi god He believes in Liu Kang since he is one of the main protector of Humanity and entrust the future with his will
He absorbed the power of his future self and raiden, making himself a god. Then gained the power of the hour glass. Basically hes a god of fire, lightning, time and probably more now
