First MotoGP race I went to in real life. I still remember Alex Barros crashing right in front of us. And the absolutely brutal noise of the Ducati’s, of course.
Those were not Ducatis, they were Protons, 3 cylinder machines that Kenny Roberts Sr. team was developing, I believe. The reason they started from the back was because they started the warm up lap from the pits, not the grid. If you're talking about Neil Hodson, in 20th place on the grid, I believe this was his rookie season and the bike was a satellite team
Before leave Honda, Rossi do a test on 2004 RC211V but he pass these bike for Barros. And we know, Barros can't use his riding style on 2004 RC211V where Rossi try it at October 2003
