steven alvarez that would make sense after all he did play Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation and the four movies following the series. I'd envision him appearing as he was from next generation movies era, either first contact or insurrection the movies with the lesser known Enterprise-E.
Down came the rain I know this is 1 month ago but.. 5:25 Numbah 4 “ WOULD YOU MIND HUGGING YOUR OWN WIFE INSTEAD OF *MIND* “ Also right after he says this Numbah 2 says “ Wait you’re not Abby? “
Not gonna lie... this episode is my least favorite, since it was live-action. Kinda not into it... but a LOVE this series. Miss this and Courage the Cowardly Dog soo much.
I was so happy for the both of them. They were so in love with each other that I referred to them as "Romeo and Juliet"; "Inuyasha and Kagome"; and "Ash and Misty." I bet their kids would be so adorable and cute as they are half Japanese, half Australian and all American.
Me personally I wasn't surprised as a kid. When Kuki first said 'When my dimwitted husband' I automatically knew she was talking about Number 4. They were always a thing from practically the beginning, and Number 2 and Number 5 were as well.
Things I love about this: 1. Wally and Kuki getting married (duh) 2. Abby and Hoagie also getting married (duh) 3. Wally STILL getting jealous when Kuki is close to another guy. 4. Sector V never got decommissioned, a privilege I only thought would go to Numbah 5. 5. The fact that even as adults, they trolled the father to protect Number One.
@@thegamerator10 well no, because Numbuh 5 at the end calls Numbuh 1 and said she'll meet him on the moon base, so they clearly weren't decomissioned to begin with
@@BillyWiccanHexRight. In the series they’ve established that some KND operatives don’t get decommissioned on their 13th birthday. Which I think is the overall message of KND. Growing up is inevitable but you can still be a kid at heart
OK, I know the comments are all gushing how number 3 and number 4 are canon, but can we all take the time to appreciate the actress that played grown up number 5? She was spot on-that is EXACTLY how I imagined a grownup number 5 to act. (Plus sense they were all pretending to be recommissioned you got to wonder how much of those personalities were real and how much of it was fake to throw off Father.)
@@EllRiver he doesn't pull the "all [minorty] look the same" he thinks all types of minorities look the same. he's so much more than racist, he's an Ascended racist.
Man, I remember as a kid being so confused seeing adult Kuki. She was so different. Like everyone else still have a few aspects when they were young but Kuki now acts like her mom.
Honestly, growing up, it sort of makes sense... The harsh reality of the adult world shatters those rose-tinted glasses we have as kids. But the fact she is the head of the Rainbow Monkeys company still shows that although she grew older, she didn't completely grow up, and she still has a bit of that inner kid in her.
@@brayqr6027 yeah I agree, yeah sure she acts strict like her mother (and her dad to some extent but he does have a sensitive side if you can recall that one episode where Kuki’s family ate food with Hoagies family and you see him crying after Hoagie told him to loosen up a bit) but I can’t blame her because she is the head/ceo of the rainbow monkey cooperation and sadly she acts like that but at least she still acts like a child cause she loves rainbow monkeys as a kid! (I also wanna bet that Mushi aka Kuki’s younger sister works with Kuki at the Rainbow Monkey cooperation since she also loves rainbow monkeys)
She had to she runs the company she was one of THE biggest fans of, probably stopping them from making the same mistakes they did when she was growing up
I love how Warburton trolled us having number 3 gesture to her husband number 4 in the chair next to the sofa off screen but number 2 interrupted her giving us the impression she meant him instead. When I was a kid I was a big shipper of 3 and 4 so when I saw this for the first time I was so upset until number 4 told 2 to stop hugging his wife at the end 😂
This cliffhanger was too perfect. Not only did the final episode set up the GKND and the Teens Next Door, but this last cutscene shows that there are Adults Next Door who still fight the good fight for kids everywhere.
KND secret operatives (Those who even after reaching teenage years are not decommissioned due to their accomplishments and trust for the knd). I read a fan comic made by Accelart recently that took place in their teenage years and I highly recommend it. It honestly did everything right that to me I consider it an unofficial sequel. Its called "KND: The Fall"
Thats probably the best part about this ending. Even though GKND didn't get picked up, this epilogue clearly taking place after that puts a neat cap on the franchise and showcases that things will end happily for everyone. Sector V grew up into accomplished adults, they didn't get decommissioned and maintained their friendship, Numbuh 1 is returning and they all seem to have come to terms and become content with adulthood which was the character's greatest fear, to the point Numbuh had times had a zealot hatred towards adults as seen in the GKND teaser. Its all okay in the end.
Nigel and Abby always had trust and confidence dealing with leadership so it makes sense he trusted her with all the planning of the interviews and meeting him after so long
It deeply reminds me of my own childhood friend. We never had any romantic feelings for each other but we were the best of friends and always trusted and came through for each other.
*“And would you mind hugging your own wife instead of mine!?”* You have no idea how happy this made me as kid when I realised Kuki and Wally DID end up together in the end! Pretty sure they were my very first ship when I was little and didn’t even know what shipping was! 😂
2 things are the reason why I love this so much. 1. Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 are CANNON, and 2. Wally went to Harvard!! I just love that so much!!! Like it was a bit of a pet peeve that Wally was such an idiot so I'm really proud of him that he went to med school at Harvard ☺️ I feel like a proud mom.
I'm calling a bluff about the Harvard thing. "Second year of med school, at Harvard." I don't think Harvard is a med school... I believe. But I do believe his scrunched up chewed gum of a brain is part of his charm. If he just got rid of that, then his other things he's actually good at: Fighting, observation skills, and his loyalty wouldn't shine so much. Plus who doesn't like cute, gullible Wally? I know I do.
@@arturootoya8914 Enter Himiko and Sydney Beetles (Number 33 and Number 44). For those curious, Himiko is a girl and Sydney is a boy and they are brother and sister.
@@dbzcupcake I didn't see that coming. I knew Wally and Kuki would end up together but not Hoagie and Abby. There were a few hints but they weren't as obvious as Wally and Kuki. Maybe if the GKND is ever made they could develop their relationship.
I always loved that ending where Father just shows up revealing he was the one interviewing them and then numbah 5 talking to Numbah one saying she'll see him soon
Really glad how Wally ended up successful, shows how much a kid can change when they grow up. Went to Harvard, became a doctor, married Kuki. I think part of his success came from the fact that Kuki came from a strict asian family, it's possible he worked hard to become a doctor so he would be accepted as number 3s husband by her parents.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Wally and Kuki would put their kids in prestigious schools and set standards for them like having good grades like Kuki's parents.
@@Thx4subscibing maybe they can alter it? I'm sure some fine tuning can be helpful. Minor retcon here and a touch up, and bam! It can work. Or make something up and be orginal ?
Plus numbuh 5 and 2 make sense. 2 liked 5's sis and it would be great revenge on 5 to get back at her sister. Yes, 5 and 2 fight at times but they are friends and teammates. A few fights don't define the ultimate relationship
Ok the ending made me happy as hell I don't even remember this episode as a kid but I'm glad I'm watching it now Re watching this sparked the kid in me again and it's a nice feeling Plus numbah 3 and numbah 4 being married is literally the best things ever.
@@gracekim25 Because animation costs an arm and a leg compared to the props used in this set lmao. Look up wander over yonders video on it- The Hiatus, cause this took like a day to film compared to a year to wait for the animation to get finalized from storyboard to animation. Also lol you mean the few seconds at the end with the cgi? Lol
@@gracekim25 “They had cool props” lol that doesn’t cost anything compared to serialized animation, hell it looks cheap even now. You say I lack logic but you don’t even realize how much animation costs , that’s really sad
This is so experimental & surreal for a kids cartoon. Like this is damn near genre pushing. This finale should seriously be studied by other animators on how to satisfyingly end a hit cartoon.
I used to love the old cartoon show when I was 11. I always ship Wally and Kuki as couples and ever since the last episode came out, it is revealed they became a canon and got married. I was also surprised that Kuki sounds like her mom and Wally became a little smarter at graduating Harvard Medical school. Growing up really changes them.
I like when Numbuh 5 became a Supreme Commander and decides to decommission Numbuh 363 because of his insanity of being touched and selfishness to the KND. But the missing part is that they never showed what Numbuh 362 say when she finds out that her brother got decommissioned and ganged up on by his own teammates.
Well I think 💭 she’s glad he’s decommissioned. He was mean to everyone. Heck, she might have even been mean to her. And he didn’t like being touched either. So he’s gone and all is well. He’s stuck at home 🏠 now, with nothing to do. No more missions, and no more kids 🧒 next door 🚪.
In a show where kids fight spank vampires (that sounds dirtier than it should) and a guy who frequently bursts into flames; that is the single most unbelievable thing
victor maphosa well number 4 was not very smart he couldn't even smell his own name somebody like that becoming smart enough to be accepted into Harvard is pretty unbelievable
I can't believe Wally went to Harvard. Its so shocking Like damn. He never was as dumb as everyone though. Remember he was the one who figured out his friends were replaced by their opposites just by seeing how their eyes were different
I think a theory of how number 4 got smarter was when that episode where he ate a Brussel sprout and the shrunk themselves to get it out, number 5 shot a harpoon into his brain and for a split second, he was yelling intellectual phrases. And that harpoon was still lodged into his brain.
It was also mentioned that he could tell apart from his real friends to their evil counterparts from the Negaverse in Operation Pool and outsmarted his evil counterpart.
I love the numbuh 2 actor. You can tell he’s playing up Hoagie’s bad jokes and borderline senality as a means of messing with Father, but there are moments where you see his intelligence and warmth shine through “making a pact,”
I’m pretty sure it is...Wonder what happened? Did the kids finally defeat the adult villains? Or grow up and make peace with them? Or did the villains retired from villainy?
@@SpeedBoltz well the galactic kid’s next door wanted to wipe all adults a teens evil or not, out of existence. Probably what happened was that the earth knd and the adult villains(minus Father) formed and alliance to stop them.
Yeah it definitely had more of a punch on the first viewing, probably because Father was doing a good job of sounding so calm that when he starts to sound familiar it’s too late for us to start thinking “is that Father? It’s sounds like him...” because the camera just instantly turns to Father and we’re all like “OH SHIT!!! NUMBER ONE IS IN TROUBLE NOW!!”
The couples we shipped are Canon! I feel like Numbuh 3 really ended up taking after her mom by becoming a business woman. I am curious to know when Numbuh 4 started using his brain. Numbuh 2 is still the comedic guy we know and love. Numbuh 5 grew up and is still am awesome AND operative (complete with become Supreme Leader sometime after Numbuh 1 left), and seeing Father in CGI scared the daylights and night lights out of me the first time I saw this
@@georgimihailov4906 and so Abby's older sister Cree to go to college with Maurice (really still an undercover agent) ended up graduates them after the parents by becoming a supermodel, she proposing and marry him.
TyizhawnForKing Had a hard time sleeping myself , especially given the time slot when this first aired around 8 or 9 at night . Very good episode to end on .
I know that this probably wouldn't have been in line with the whole "message" of KND I guess, but did anyone else kind of wish there had been some moment where the characters reflect on how being an adult really isn't all that bad? Like of course they cherish their childhoods and time in the KND, and they'll always be kids at heart, but that there are also plenty of great things they got to experience as adults too, like getting married. I don't know, I think it would have been cute.
The one thing that perplexes me to this day (even as an adult myself) is why they didn't scrap right then and there once they figured out that was father lmao
Adult Number 5’s actress was Fran Jaye. Fran Jaye wasn't originally Numbuh 5, but landed the role during her audition and she had the most lines out of everyone. In the end, She passed away on July 1, 2022. 😭💔🕯️🕊️.
Man this show is really something! I honestly am rewatching the whole show (I’m gonna watch the movie after I finish up the show and as of me making this comment I am currently on the last season!) and damn this show sparked the inner child in me again! I remember back in 2015 (I think I was about to be a freshman at this time) I remember hearing about Galactic Kids Next Door and sadly it didn’t happen yet (the reason why I said yet is because if I can remember, Mr Warburton aka the creator of the show said Cartoon Network didn’t have plans to do the series yet but since we have HBO Max now and since some shows are either getting new seasons or a reboot, for example Total Drama Island is getting two new seasons, I personally think they might do the same thing with GKND!) so anyways I love this show! :)
I definitely think I learned something from KND. Like Number Zero said, I’d love to be able to do all the things I did as a kid, no worries, all the time and strength in the world! But there comes a time when we have to face the fact that we’re just not kids anymore, and the boring rules grown ups put on us are part of the responsibility of being an adult. But what’s the point of being an adult if you can’t act childish too? We may grow up, but never abandon the fun loving spirit as a kid!
