Timmy's a lot luckier than you think, with or without fairies. Here are most of the clips of Timmy's love stories. All rights reserved to Nickelodeon and Frederator Studios.
Yea she had a whole episode dedicated to her pretending to be a boy just so she can read comics without being judged by a being a girl and then they ruined her character
@@boomer7004 I actually loved that episode because at the time when it aired girls still kinda got made fun of for video games and comics. BUT! After that episode if they had referenced that once it would have made much more sense.
@@boomer7004 There was also the episode where Timmy uses wishes to become popular. At the end, Trixie admits she admires him for being willing to sacrifice popularity for genuine friendship.
Probably simply for plot. I mean with Timmy as the protagonist he has a big secret and he is special (in his own way). And because the show is stupid (in a funny and often strange way).
Aside from the seasons past 6, this show was gold. It constantly surprised me and to this day I'm still learning new stuff about it, just the other day I learned that Trixie's voice actor was blind and she was told her lines and how to recite them, that's so nice!
Yeah, I'll admit that I didn't appreciate this show as much as it deserved in it's first 6 seasons. A lot of little things about it bothered me, really. I got a little annoyed with some of the minor character designs, and I almost always saw Timmy as somewhat of an idiot. Then again, considering how his dad is, the pieces of the puzzle connect. After Poof and Sparky came, though, I think more people would side with me on my criticisms of the show. Really, though, up until season 6, the biggest Achilles Heel of The Fairly Odd Parents was stereotypes. After that, it was inconsistency and desperation.
So basically Trixie would choose anyone over Timmy, then choose a rock over Timmy until to the point where everyone in the world would disappear to date him? yeah Tootie does seem like a better choice...
ah yes why go for the popular girl that doesn't give you the time of day when you can instead have the creepy stalker girl that you needed to get a restraining order against.
Well seeing as how he never straight up asked his Fairies for Trixie to be in love with him it’s safe to say making a wish to make someone do something against their will like that specifically is against the rules. So a harem would definitely fall under the category.
But he's even saved Trixie Tang's life a couple of times (see Emotion Commotion! (which was the episode before Just the Two of Us!) and The Masked Magician).
@@walterpetersen776 Him and Patrick took the same route. Started out more as chill guys who weren’t the smartest, but not completely idiotic. Now they’re made complete idiots for comedy.
This show was a lot more like harem anime than I remember. I can't even believe they got away with this joke! 6:23 The only thing missing from this compilation was Vicky falling in love with Gah, The Norwegian Supermodel!
Timmy: "Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" Amoeba: "You can ask me anything, I find you multi-cell organisms to be so complex." That right there is a good science joke.
@@ArtieArchives it is canon, the Big Wand was introduced there and in the second one Jorgen made it so everyone can see Anti-Fairies which stayed true for the rest of the series. The third one was even intended to be the finale to both shows before Fairly Odd Parents got renewed for another season.
I extremely disagree with Wanda and Cosmo on the 1st one. Just because Tootie has to put up with Vicky more than him, it doesn't give them the right to make Timmy feel like he's wrong for being uncomfortable around Tootie. Many times she tried to kiss him without his consent. It's not his fault that Tootie acts in a way that'll make him want to leave and it's definitely not his fault she doesn't acknowledge it. Does that make Tootie a bad person, no, but it doesn't make Timmy any less of a good person either for being uncomfortable around her and disliking her. If she wasn't like that, maybe Timmy would like her at least as a friend. And considering the fact that Timmy has fairies and Tootie doesn't, it sometimes makes me think that saying Tootie putting up with Vicky more than Timmy is wrong as she's probably not miserable enough to have them. Instead of telling Timmy to treat Tootie better, how about get *her* to treat *him* better. If it's wrong for Timmy to bother Trixie, what's makes it any different for Tootie doing it to Timmy. Her being miserable doesn't cut it.
Though saying that someone should have brought Tootie to some sort of protective services or just somewhere not around Vicky to have some guidance. Vicky probably undeniably has a criminal record so it'd likely be possible to justify.
It wasn't really about Timmy feeling uncomfortable around Tootie or even their relationship. He was kind of a straight up bully to her earlier in the episode.
@@ELRIFL Nevermind I rewatched it, Timmy was kinda mean, but I still standby my statement. She's always making moves on him and it obviously makes him uncomfortable, so she kinda had it coming in my opinion. Not to mention she's also kind of a thief. Edit: Yeah, he was kind of a bully.
I really enjoyed the ending to Channel Chasers, they make Timmy's wife and kids look ambiguous so you don't know whether he married Trixie or Tootie. My theory though is that Timmy would marry Tootie, that way it'd be their aunt Vicky babysitting the kids as to repeat the cycle of Timmy's life. Though I guess Vicky wouldn't be mean to her nephew and niece, maybe she'd be too nice or overprotective instead.
That would have been a nice resolution for the character. She sees her new nephew and niece. "They're so sweet, so precious and adorable and innocent... I WILL DESTROY ANYONE WHO MAKES THEM SAD!!!" And now instead of having to deal with bullying psychopath Vicky, Timmy has to deal with vengefully overprotective Vicky.
Well there is that one episode where Timmy just lent her Cosmo and Wanda (and only if she was more miserable than him which she was) without her knowing it was him. Then almost immediately she tells them that she’ll announce their existence after wishing for the best birthday ever. So it’s possible she already had Fairy God Parents but she lost them due to not keeping them secret.
This seems a bit inconsistent .... Tootie is bad at keeping secrets when it comes to Timmy, but was also able to maintain a secret identity from Vicky. Plus having her lose them offscreen and then having to persist in her doomed Morrowind savegame kind of sucks as an explanation.
Yeah, Chloe not saving the day makes her more miserable than the girl who is abused by her older sister. Seriously, what was Butch and Nickelodeon thinking?
@@turbobist2889 Was Tootie even still in the show at that time? I know Vicky showed back up in an episode and it honestly felt like a special appearance just seeing her again. Maybe he forgot Tootie existed until after the show when fans asked him about her so he made up the excuse that they ran out of things to do with her
It would have been cool if the show did a whole short episode of using all the scenes of Timmy traveling (in every scene) out of the camera’s view and end up going to an entire different scene and keep traveling to over areas
I feel like Tootie would have a massive glowup when she gets older. No more braces, maybe contacts. She'd probably be more mature and not so obsessive. There was an episode when Timmy was an adult and he had a son and a daughter. The son had black hair, and the daughter had glasses, but wore a headband like Trixie's, so who knows.
I'd rather Timmy learn to love Tootie for her, not her appearance. At most an age up I'd give her a thicker appearance but still keep the dark hair and glasses and other distinct traits. Making her hot so Timmy would fall in love with her like in the live action movie is such a cop out and letting Timmy have his cake and eat it too.
@@toonberculosis9574 dude instead i think it better if both of them don't get married to each other not to be mean but tootie is a certified Stalker so maybe no instead if they both mature it would be enough and they don't seem to have chemistry
I think characters like Tootie, Trixie, and Veronica should have had way more importance than what the show actually gave them. Trixie appeared a lot, but never evolved beyond being an unattainable trophy wife. Options to explore other aspects of her life, such as liking comic books, were squandered in order to make a billion episodes about Crocker living with his mother. She had a few times where she hooks up with Timmy, but they are always reset and the genuineness of them had severe diminishing returns. Tootie has less appearances, but I felt better chemistry between her and Timmy. Their interactions were a lot less awkward than with Trixie. It felt like they made progress on this ship in episodes like Channel Chasers->Birthday Wish->Oh Brother, but then season 6 did a soft reset and Tootie got left in the dust until an unsatisfying make-up role in the live action movie. Veronica is definitely the blankest slate. She has an unrequited crush that she keeps secret. She also seems to get picked on by Trixie and the other popular kids a lot, she is the "outcast" of the popular group. An option to have her join Timmy's friend group after falling out of favor with Trixie and the others would've been interesting to see. Whenever I hear Butch in his videos lying his head off about how he "ran out of ideas" for these characters and that's why they were removed... ugh...
I’m not sure if this is true but I heard Nickelodeon didn’t want character development for these characters and wanted to keep things purely comedic. If that is the case then I’d argue it’s fair for Butch to run out of ideas for these characters. There’s only so much you can do if you aren’t allowed to make a character evolve past their original appearance.
It's nuts how important the supporting cast was in seasons 3-6 and then suddenly they all vanished. Chester was the main character of the Fairy Idol special!
It’s probably cause this took a different route with things. Even if the love stuff is funny and all, it does lead to some bad stories and questionable character moments. Spongebob rarely does love plots, especially with its main character.
One thing I think went under appreciated a bad SpongeBob is that It was one of the few cartoons that never focused on romantic love. I think that alone broadened its appeal.
I do feel like this compilation is missing a few Timmy x Trixie moments from The Boy Who Would Be Queen and Wishology, but this video still makes its point across.
2:45-3:02 That's primarily the reason why Timmy and Trixie didn't get much interaction (on-screen) in Season 5, aside from that moment in Remy Rides Again (but there wasn't a You Doo doll manipulating Timmy this time as he wished them out of existence).
Trixie was pretentious and undeserving, the cheerleader was... crazy, the two adults are well... adults.. and Tootie was also obsessed, and only fit perfectly in the live action movies, while there are alot of things I minded about the live action series, killing off Drake Bell was the last pound on the camels back.
Yeah neglectful parents babysitter that tries to hurt you a bully that cripples Timmy in a regular bases usually neglected by your crush a teacher that verbally abuses you and tries to take away the only sense of parents you have and one of the few people that support him very few friends and obsessive girl chasing you every second she sees you(although I wouldn’t mind that tbh and Timmy wouldn’t once he grows older)am I missing anything?
... Odd, main character relationships between boys and girls (that aren’t family related or of different age) usual get some romantic connection. I wouldn’t be surprised if the show did continue there would be more romance between them, but seeing how the love for the show was dying it’s doubtful people would care except kids.
For all those who don't know, Carly was named after Butch Hartman's Daughter "Carly Hartman" Sadly, she has a YT Channel, and while Appearance-wise, she's also based off of Trixie Tang, even tho she doesn't want to admit it🤦♂️
@@xs0528 Now that I would've loved to see. That's a good idea rather than introducing a perfect-according-to-modern-values mary sue. You should be a writer.
There was an episode where Timmy let her borrow Cosmo and Wanda, and she could barely keep them a secret for a day. It's possible that she had a fairy or fairies in the past, but lost them after failing to keep them a secret.
@@BillZypher That does seem likely as Timmy only has either the two parents at his house or Vicky which is easy to maintain secrets from. Tootie lives with her parents and Vicky which would make having fairies harder.
the fact that the party he never remembers is the one where she actually got a full grown adult woman to tatoo her name on him and viceversa mades me think he does have the looks, charms, and confidence to get a girlfriend...... when he isn't him................. Sad I guess
