This is exactly what I needed, God bless you sir, my control screen got cracked when I was cleaning behind the dryer and putting on a new vent. Now I can take a look at the panel and order a replacement.
You are a rock star! My son's Python escaped and made its way to the top of the dryer drum. It's been loose for 3 weeks and we tracked it to the laundry room. Using an endoscope we finally found it but couldn't figure out how to take the lid off! You are a lifesaver! Wish I could post a pic for you here.
Have fun with the washer. As a GE Customer Care technician it took me 15 mins just to figure out how to take the top off. Turns out there’s some screws in the dispenser then the control panel slides to the right. Then you see the screws for the top. They redesigned the ultrafresh washer very differently from other front loaders. Unlike other front loaders once you take the control panel off remove the the three screws and slide the top towards you instead of back. Interesting design. They must’ve been trying to eliminate the struggle of having a dryer stacked on top by making the front panel removable without having to unstack the dryer.

Very nice job. My new 2024 model had a rattling top. Tap it with your hand and it was noisy. I used your trick and pulled off the top cover to put a "duct tape gasket" around the perimeter of the top sheet metal and no more rattles. I don't know if the factory didn't install a part, or it's just a bad design. Anyway, thank you for the video.

I received one of these with a Lowes warranty when my last dryer broke (wasnt a GE) but they gave me a faulty one where the touch screen wont work because the inside of it is crooked.. im hoping removing this is enough to allow me to fix it 😔

Yes I was looking for a video on this myself and I couldn't find one. The problem I had with this dryer was the dryer belt was broke. Had to special order the belt because it was a unique size. trying to get this board off had me feeling like a rookie 😆
question I have a similar dryer. plugged in nothing goes on. no lights no buttons etc. at first when I opened the door the lights would flash. any advice. I was thinking wire harness?

I have an identical dryer and when installing it it does not turn on. Do you have any idea what could happen? The dryer does not give any signal on the screen, on button, etc.
