Another great reaction. I hadn't seen the Allen Stone Daryls House till this video. Amazing vocals by him and Daryl. Can you react to this awesome Daryls House performance with The Bacon Brothers - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XpxRpXeGsSo.html. Thanks in advance. Great channel, Jamel.
Thanks for introducing me to something awsome that I have not heard. At 60 I usually have heard everything else you have reviewed for most of my life but love seeing your response. Glad you are out there keeping the music ALIVE.
You're like that cool uncle that comes down to the basement during the family bbq to hang out with the younger kids. Doesn't smoke any weed, just listens to the music and and tells stories of the "good ol' days" 😂
This sent me running to find everything Allen Stone has ever recorded. WHAT a gem, the harmony between Stone and Hall is just magical. Freakin' fantastic!
Brother, if you wanna see Daryl at his utmost best you must react to this song - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e6cGR9VDY08.html been requesting this for a year plus...its time 😉!

Allen Stone sang this with Dennis Lorenzo (check him out) on American Idol. Dennis is a former student of mine. Wonderful young man! You should watch the video of the two of them. Incredible! ❤️
I am sitting on the bus going to work almost crying... This has got to be one of the best... Omg.. Keep the music coming.. The world needs this... Daryl... Man.. I have no words... Allen stone... Amazing... ✌🏽
WOW! I discovered Allen Stone watching you discover him. From the very first time, singing this song in his mothers living room, to each one after that. And now at Daryls? Sweet
This video was my intro to Allen Stone. My goosebumps had goosebumps. My son heard me playing it and now he's hooked too. So glad you and I are on the same page with Allen. The guy is unbelievably talented.
Jamel_AKA_Jamal the guests on Daryl’s House always shares a meal with Daryl and the band. They usually cook it together, and film while they cook, and have discussions over food. So it’s somewhat of a cooking show as well.
You serenaded us a little, didn't you? Sounded sweet, Jamel!💙 Artists like this are why I cringe every time I hear autotune, drum machines, etc. Thank you for bringing attention to music like this.💚🌿
Allen Stone is one of my favorite current artists and when you throw that soulful voice of Daryl in..you get musical magic!! ❤️ That was damn near a religious experience!
This song will always remind me of my sister, she passed away in February of this year. She showed me this wonderful song a few good years back and I know she would’ve loved this version. RIP big sis
I gotta thank you, J - I had not heard of Allen Stone before coming across your mention of him, and now I've shared his NPR Tiny Desk Concert with damn near everybody I know. So good! The man is also proof that there *is* good music being made today. Sometimes you've just gotta work a little harder to seek it out.
My god Jamel what a treat you have just given us. I had never heard of Allen Stone before but I am going to check him out now, what a fantastic Soul voice and paired with Darryl, well my goosebumps came out to play!
You kept mentioning him and I knew the name was familiar. Just now I remembered he had been a mentor on American Idol and he caught my attention then. I knew I’d heard him before! Thank you for reminding me about him!
Jamel it doesn't get any better than this!! I did leave a message in the comments that he went to visit Darryl. anyway Thanku..They all are so❤ AMAZiN. My ♥ heart is going pitter patter.

During this episode, if I remember correctly, Daryl makes a comment about Allen being like his little brother. You should check out Alabama Shakes, You'll love them.

There’s another version where they sing this in front of a crowd. They get into that version even more. I’ve been telling you man...ha. Check it out. The vibe is even stronger.
So happy to see you appreciating Allen Stone. I found him by accident about a year ago when "Consider Me" showed up in the YT Algorithm. What a glorious surprise that was. I thought that was one of the best love songs ever! Am now an ardent rider on the Allen train.
Hey Jamal peace and good vibes to you my music brother!🎙👍}It was ME who told you about this performance by the amazing Allen Stone in the legendary brother Daryls House! DAMN!!!! Just given my age/demographic, I know almost all these source materials, but I didn't know Allen Stone. Holy crap! This was absolutely fantastic. Thank you ! Now I'm on a journey...
First album I ever bought with my own money was Hall & Oates. I since bought every one of their albums (including solos), the the CD's, then the MP3's. Watched every episode of LFDH. Interestingly enough, I heard Allen Stone at a H&O concert he opened for. They definitely passed the torch, I now own all of Allen's stuff too.
Allen Stone is an incredible artist that you should investigate. And this song is the one I love the best! I was supposed to see him in April but COVID cancelled everyone's concerts. :(
