@@rawkguy4896 Yes close enough, it sounds like Velvet Revolver songs like Gas And A Dollar Laugh or She Builds Quick Machines. Live should really reunite with all the original members ( again in 2023 ) and just continue making really good rock n roll music.
It’s hard to make music. Unless you are a musician and writer you wouldn’t understand. The gems they created were a gift from god. It’s all good. All of it. Because it comes from the same place. Commercial success aside.
Music is on point gr8 to see Live twice now with the original line up.. I think the songs will sound better Live.. if this is part of an EP it's more of a celebration record.. I just hope a full length LP follows with the deep lyrical genius of Ed we all love. 🤘
I travelled alot of miles on plane to get to see these guys at there peak as they never played in my country at the time. I would not go to the back lawn to listen to this if there were in it now,,Holy god
Took 4 replays to get into this one. But man it really is a good song. Looking forward to the EP. Great to hear just some good ol fashioned drum bangin.. guitar blazin music again!! Glad these guys are back at it and doing it their way. Saw them in Cincinnati this year, and can't wait to see again!! Thank You!!!
I wish I could produce a Live album. From Mental Jewelry to Secret Samadhi felt like a journey, then the distance came out and they sounded like a different band. I want them to get back to the Secret Samadhi sound so bad.
This is pretty good, but I think they are capable of a whole lot better. I think they should revisit their debut album Mental Jewelry, or at least Throwing Copper, for some inspiration. Those were stellar albums!
It's how Ed writes songs. You gotta understand Ed to understand lyrics he uses. Same goes with Chad Taylor. All of them really, Ed, Chad C, Chad T and Patrick. His lyrics while might be weird to some makes sense. Maybe it's because I'm from their same hometown and been inspired by them in my own music, but I get these guys so well.
I've been a huge fan of Live for over 20 years, and yes I was wondering about the lyrics too. I like the song and Ed's voice, but the singing and the lyrics just don't fit. They used to have great and deep lyrics , but it is just clichees now. I wish they wouldn't express everything in such a clear text, I miss their mystique.
Cash grab, watch the interaction onstage or the lack there of. Dalheimer looks like he hates him. Recording sounds thin and digital. Its over , the TURN was the next evoluion and an incredible album. Schinn got one of the worst screwjobs in music history.
Shane doss spot on. Ed has always had the reins. So many songs (other than The Turn) are just Hallmark Cards forced into driving music. The cadence doesn’t fit, the lyrics are disjointed. Shinn did get hosed big time. This band is groupthink on stage.
Live was one of the best bands, ever.. but this new music just isn't Live at all. This sounds nothing like the original band, save Ed's voice. Live has lost their magic.
Really cool riff and guitar tone... but that’s about all it’s got goin for it. Lyrics are weak and super lame. Honestly after like 1999 Live started to kinda suck imo. I’d still see them preform live if they came to town but they should def stop making records.
People don't listen to or support the true Saints they just shun them and spit on them so they can keep being evil. I don't see any way to help people because they don't want help and they don't give help to those who want to help.
