LIVE: China Becomes India's Top Trade Partner Despite Border Row | Vantage with Palki Sharma
China has become India's top trading partner by surpassing the US in the last financial year. Both sides logged around $118.4 billion in bilateral trade compared to $118.3 billion between India and the US. From 2019 to 2024, India's exports to China witnessed a marginal decline while imports from China surged by 44.7 percent, up from $70.32 billion to $101.75 billion. India imports around 75 percent of its Electric Vehicle batteries from China along with some other important commodities like electronic goods, smartphones, laptops and telecom parts. This record trade is happening even as border tensions between Beijing and New Delhi remain high. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma tells you how other Chinese rivals are balancing trade and strategic concerns.

It is a SHAME that Indian Business Houses which can invest to make India more self sufficient are shying away and if rreports are to be believed are hankering for more subsidy and support from the Government. Yes profits must ben earned, but when will Greed be put on the backburner and National Interests take precedent. By Making in India, not only will India beome less dependent especially on China and others, but generate much needed employment for our people especially youth. This employment will inturn result in increaed purchasing power and inturn support the industry. Its high time also that the Govt ban or increase taxes on unnecessare imports and support small scale industry. It is definetly possible to reverse the high trade imbalance in India"s favour in a few years.

in the past 5 years China and india involved in land dispute,after 2019 Chinnai meet XI -modi...China have huge development in high tech zone..Solar board,EV cars,,wind power turbine,AI,battery,,China all top of the world. And these product is all need by India and others developing country.With that,you do not need inport oil,or burn coal,can largely reduce your polution. So ,you can imagine in future,india will import much more China product,boz it worth that value.

Actually trade with china is a VERY GOOD THING for india, rather than buying same stuff from west for 4 times the price. And india needs China for many machinery which india needs for _make in india_ and indian exports . Only when india has developed enough capability can india make in india the needed machinery and raw materials. Without China and API raw material for it pharma industry, india will lose billions of its pharma exports to the west as well as not have the cheap generic medicines for indian market.

This is just the casual misandry that has taken over the world masquerading as feminism, the vast majority of long range driving jobs like truckers or drivers are done by men, there's far more hours on the road, and therefore they represent more of a share of the accidents on the road, but that doesn't make an average man a worse driver. "In a galaxy far far far away..." Note that if a planet is 41 lightyears away it cannot be "in a galaxy far far far away". The closest galaxy to the milky way is at least 25000 lightyears away so this planet must be in our own galaxy. I'd rather avoid these "embellishing phrases" if i were them.
