I'm a big fan of Daniel Smith paints. Despite being a relative beginner at watercolour colour painting and art in general, I've found that great quality paints are making my journey so much more enjoyable and interesting. I first came across Pablo's work in the magazine "The Art of Watercolour" 42nd edition. I was truly amazed by the quality of his work and his trademark technique for achieving such interesting and realistic textures of water surfaces such as rivers, lakes, ponds and puddles. Obviously, he paints other subjects too, they all have a "fine art" feel to them. Yesterday, I came across his book in a local bookshop in Madrid, it's a real jewel of a watercolour painting publication. It's called: Curso de Acuarela a través del Paisaje, published by Anaya Touring. I have a few watercolour books that show how to paint etc., but this book is so much more, it really gives an insight into the techniques and approaches of a modern watercolour master painter.
