Also, as of 8/16/19 the EC-1500 is now in stock and shipping in the US (and will be shipping in the EU/UK in the next few weeks).
The E-flite® EC-1500 Twin is a groundbreaking design that offers a unique flight experience for a wide range of pilots. This twin/multi-motor model carries echoes of full-scale civil and military cargo transport aircraft, but it has an incredible range of capabilities and options that no other RC airplane can match. Featuring 3S and 4S compatible power systems with custom 5-blade counter-rotating props, the EC-1500's flight envelope encompasses everything from slow and scale-like, to sport flying and even aggressive 3D aerobatic capabilities! You can fly from paved, grass and dirt surfaces; from the snow with the included optional-use skis; or from water using the optional float set (sold separately). It also includes factory-installed LED lights, a functional cargo door, plus decals to customize the finish with Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and other markings.

You know I’ve enjoyed almost every single bind and fly Eflite/Horizon Hobby product I have ever bought and I own maybe 60. I gave up on the failsafes a few years back but I won’t give up on the bind and flys. Just keep them close.

It's based on the C-27J Spartan. The only cargo aircraft in the world that does an aerobatic airshow demo.

Interested if they bring out one in grey or green with military style decals. Like the plane hate the paint scheme. Sell it in all white and I'll airbrush it myself, just to hard to cover orange.

I really Love mine. Fly's like on rails. have made a few up-grades and wanted to add a Reverse ESC , like on my police Fan Boat from your company. Would be nice to be able to back it up like the Real HC-27J" Spartan". Takes off full flaps in 3'. Candy Drop next event at my club. Great aircraft. A1.

I received the invoice for the one that has shipped out Today. Due in on next Tuesday. This plane will be #390 of my personal Squadron. Horizon Hobby Legend Member. Capt R. Morgan. Looking forward to getting it into the air.

Can this be setup with Differential Throttle so that tighter taxi on land and water is possible. I suppose you could only do this by getting the PNP version, use a regular Rx, plug each esc into a separate channel and do an on/off Rudder mix with both. I do this on my float equipped Twinstar II and it works great (no need for a water rudder).

Tom C I can't see any reason why you couldn't-it will have a Y lead to the ESC's so just take the Y lead out 🤷‍♂️

I know this is old, but what are the correct part numbers for the Y harness and EC3 to EC5 adapter? Since the ESC is an EC5 connector, I don't see any reason to use IC type connectors. I ordered EC3 Battery Parallel Y-Harness EFLAEC307 and it seems to be correct. I also ordered EC5 Device To EC3 Battery EFLAEC509 but it has the wrong connectors. The EC3 end, which I assumed was to connect "To EC3 Battery" is the same type that is on the battery with female pins.

I bought one and wanted to put the floats on, the manual says "there is plastic inside the screws thread into, its not just threading into foam" well, that was true for the rear two mounts, the front just pushed into foam and threaded into nothing but foam.

Our apologies for that! And as Matt noted around the 39:30 mark in this video, you will need to use longer screws than those supplied to properly install/secure the front mount for the floats.

@@HorizonHobbyProducts all the screws I got were the same length. I double checked. I also got a random part that looks like landing gear off of a small model. No idea what that was about.

We’ve officially tested and can recommend up to 4S 6400mAh…which weighs about 20.5 ounces/580 grams.

Grand slam on everything!... except the 5 blade prop (should be 4 or 6), non retracts, and mostly, that terrible nose design... Everything is screaming the obvious HC-130 Hercules but the nose.. wish you used the stepped nose style, but I may still buy it!
