What a great pilot. Really nice job showing off the model. I too was very impressed with the lights. They are really bright! Too bad the wheels sound like cheap hard plastic on takeoff and landing.

Jason my man THATS how you fly a plane. My friends call me crazy for leaving the motors running in idle for scale look, I cant wait til they see this lol. After seeing the great work done with this plane, it would be a travesty if you're not already working on an Airliner. You guys have building planes down to a science, and with safe select an option there's basically no excuse not to make one. Just PLEASE for the love of God, DONT MAKE IT OFFICIALLY LICENCED lol. Drives the price up for no good reason other than to sell the name. The Horizon Brand is a trusted name and good enough for me. Plus youll have more build freedom

Bought one 2 days ago. After I assembled it. I hooked it up to a 3s 3200 lipo left motor started twitching way to much! After a couple tries to bind I was able to successfully bind it with a dx6! When testing to make sure everything was operational left motor sounded horrible and started smoking! I'm not happy at all! Will be going to hobby shop to see if I can get a exchange. I presume it may be a manufacture defect?

Amazing!!!! First time I see this plane!!! What a wonderful thing!!! Can you consider this to be a beginners plane? I have some experience flying speed planes like the XK520 but not too much and I am wondering if this plane could be a good teacher for me or should I start with the Carbon Cub S+? Thanks for the video, I am quite jealous of your skills I don’t think I can get there!!!

By the way, I see that the landing gear does not retract, does it? It will be a cool feature to have in the next version. Maybe you will have install at the time I purchase this baby. Thanks again.

Not as a first RC airplane for a beginner...you should start with a trainer airplane like the HobbyZone AeroScout S, Mini Apprentice S or Carbon Cub S+ (see them here: www.horizonhobby.com/storefronts/hobbyzone-brand ) or the E-flite Apprentice STS (www.horizonhobby.com/apprentice-sts-15e-rtf-with-safe-15m-and-dxe-transmitter-p-efl3700 ). After learning to fly any of those models successfully we recommend moving to a model like the E-flite Turbo Timber before flying the EC-1500. We also recommend using the RealFlight RC simulator (www.horizonhobby.com/category/airplanes/aircraft-radio-systems/simulators ) for learning to fly and to become a better pilot even faster...plus you can even fly the EC-1500 in it! Yes! The updated design prop adapters are knurled and are made from stronger aluminum!

Many of our higher-end transmitters have a "servo speed" adjustment feature. This is really the only way of changing this feature.

Not a first aircraft, but definitely a first larger-sized aircraft after successfully learning to fly a smaller trainer model like the HobbyZone AeroScout, Mini Apprentice or Carbon Cub S+, or the E-flite Apprentice STS!

@@jeroldjorgensen5019 The Spektrum DX6e and DX6 are great all-around transmitters for many applications! However, for many E-flite models (including the EC-1500) it's best to have a 7+ channel transmitter so you can have all functions plus SAFE Select on a separate channel. That in mind it's even better to go with a DX8e or DX8 since they are 8-channel transmitters.

The Bind-N-Fly (BNF) Basic version (EFL5750; which is the version flown in this video) includes a Spektrum AR636B receiver with AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select stabilization.

So with all that going for it, and all the people who love this thing - why in the world did Horizon discontinue it? I just found one, and I do not understand why this plane is no longer in production.

Because sometimes you can make something great even better (e.g. even more secure prop adapters/mounting, differential thrust, reverse thrust, fully-painted finished, etc.)...which takes time, but is often worth the wait ;)

Also, just bought Realflight Evolution so I could practice on the new 1.2 Mustang I bought from HH. But, rats, the Cripes A Mighty is not in there, nor is the new 1.2 Corsair I got from HH the other day. Are they coming soon by chance? Thanks!

@@dalezesiger9873 You'll be able to purchase the Corsair 1.2m model for RealFlight Evolution separately (for $3.00) or in the first-ever Quarterly Content Pack (that includes six new models -- including 2 premium and 4 standard -- for $20.00) when it's released in a few weeks! The P-51 1.2m will be available when the second QCP is released soon after that. As for the EC-1500.... ;)

As is the case with all mass produced products/electronics, a very small percentage will unfortunately be defective from time to time. We'll replace any defective components under warranty of course, so contact the dealer you purchased it from or contact our product support staff directly. Currently the best and fastest way to reach our product support staff is via online chat. CST Saturday: 10 A.M. - 6 pm Sunday: 10 A.M. - 6 pm Filling out the contact form on the site sends it into the very long email queue (responses too). Phone calls also end up in a very long queue. Oh.. for clarity.. the EC 1500 that I bought elevator works very well without safe on, but as soon as safe is switched on there is little to no elevator throw… about 15mm worth.. and it moves sho nuff slow and will not return to center..this is while in safe mode… thx

@@Jb276712 That is correct. There is less elevator (and other) throw when SAFE is on, and the position of the elevator changes with the angle of the airplane. Sounds like you don't have any issue at all!

You guys rock!! Thanks for the reply!! Yes, I know about the safe mode, but is the elevator suppose to move so slow…if at all..and not reach the full deflection in safe mode? With the servo making all kinds of noise?
