Live Drawing - Landscape with Graphite Pencils 

One of the reasons I like working with woodless pencils is that my sharpener collects graphite powder that I use to create with. I've used graphite powder on Bristol paper. It worked just fine. In winter I sometimes use fingerless gloves to help with hand pains. I make my own vine charcoal with both grape vine and willow. It's not hard, just tedious and you have to watch it closely. I learned to make it with almost any kind of wood twig when I was a little girl and couldn't afford pencils for school or art. I dearly loved and enjoyed this video. I LOVE graphite!

Love this. Thanks so much. Made my own graphite powder in about 10 minutes with a pencil and file. I use a pool glove - as in billiards.

Not bad, something I wouldn't take on, I wouldn't say impossible but in one hour or so is impressive.

Thank you so much for making this such a much easier drawing to perform. I added to my list the electric eraser. I have one but it has a bigger tip so this will be much handier with a smaller eraser and here in Canada we spell colour with U lol🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪

I’m sorry but you do not need to buy powdered granite. You can make it yourself and mark the container with what ever pencil you used. Just ground it off with fine sandpaper you have in your kit.

Do you Americans drink Skweppes tonic water then? I rest my case.
