I literally just started shiny hunting Treecko in my Sapphire version about 30 minutes ago. Decided to put on one of your videos to have playing in the background and after just 47 RESETS I found a shiny uncatchable Pooch while watching this video. I have no words :o

I calculated that you did 18776 on that sapphire without a single shiny. At least the ruby shined through! Congrats on the starters! I finished my round of Hoenn starters last year. It took me 8 month and 6 shiny pooches before i got mudkip but it was well worth it. I hope you keep this luck streak. You deserve it! Thank you for making content! XD the funny thing is that Ruby is my favorite Gem and all the shinies are on Ruby. Also Ruby was my first Gen 3 game. My first Gen 3 starter was a Torchic, then Treecko, then finally Mudkip.

I’ve been shiny hunting slowpoke in slowpoke cave using sweet scent. 100% encounter rate using surf and sweet scent. Getting 3 encounters per min is helping but still a long hunt!

I catched in the German Version of Sapphire a Shiny Shrommish in the Petalburg Woods and happily catched it with a Premier Ball on last Saturday (6th of April)!

To anyone wondering: The Hoenn Gen 3 games has a broken RNG system. So in the gen 3 games there are something called a "seed", this seed is a random number that is generated each frame the game is on. This generated number determines if the pokemon encountered/gifted at that certain frame is a shiny. Well, the Hoenn games have an internal clock, this clock is used to (besides the normal time-based events) make the seed number go up, even when the games aren't turned on. Well what happens if your battery dies and the clock dies? Well your seed will always start from the beginning, meaning that if you don't have a seed that can produce a shiny on an early frame, the you're basically screwed until you change your battery, becuase you will literally never encounter a shiny, unless you have the game turned on for long enough that you will hit new numbers. Now, Emerald is a little different... So Game Freak messed up and essentially shipped the final game with the broken RNG that R/S has with a dead battery, however it will happen no matter what. This means that Dallas essentially: Reset his game. Got an ID with an early shiny frame. Got a shiny. Reset again. Once more got an early shiny frame. Then got the 2nd shiny. Reset his game for the third time. Got even another save with an early shiny frame. Got his third shiny. I'm 100% sure that the statistical odds of this happening is lower than the odds to get PKRUS. This is one lucky man.

Got my shiny Charmander in fire red this morning at around 3am, I wasn’t counting but I’m pretty sure it took under 1000 soft resets, over a span of a couple days. I took many breaks and it was like on and off. So happy :) (Saturday Dec 12, 2020, 4:13am as I’m writing this)

I got all three starts too but I did it in gen 6 and I traded all three to one game and play the whole game with all three. Good times.
