She's just there, calmly stating facts. Facts that can easily be checked and verified and I'd love for all nay sayers and haters to just shut their mouths for a moment and validate what she's saying is very, very true. Then maybe we can save our planet before it makes us adjust to the definition of the word survival.
@Lavita Cinderella As Greta has correctly said: The fact that climate change happens is not a matter of opinion. It is a scientific fact. Facts don't care about your opinions. You can have different opinions about what we ought to do about it. That's a different thing.
Some people are content to call her just an "angry girl". Anger is needed. Anger is useful. The only way you can listen to the threat this world faces and not be angry is to flat out reject the evidence that is there for all to see. Greta Thunberg isn't "angry"; she's a hero. Watch her speak and tell me you're not angry.

Incredible speech from Greta. So young and yet so mature, humble, and aware of the problems that will devastate our world in the decades to come. All this, while speaking in a foreign language. Inspiring.
Gretas speeches have been so great at trying to say complicated news in a short time. Just amazing!!! The lecturen needs to be adjustable so we see all of the face of each speaker. Everyone watching this RU-vid video knows there is great controversy associated with climate change, especially the reasons for it, if anything can be done to reverse it, and if so at what cost. While each of us is entitled to our own opinion on this subject I am convinced that no one is likely to change the mind of another simply by preaching their gospel or by beating that person over the head. So that brings us to what we each can do to talk about climate change in a responsible and respectful manner. IMHO I think that regardless of one's position on the climate controversy it is worthwhile to examine the current impacts of climate change (no matter what the cause, manmade or otherwise). This may be less controversial than the causes of climate change or methods to abate it. These climate changes include rising seas levels due to ice melting at the poles, shifting of coastal landscapes, more frequent and violent storms due to warming of ocean temperatures, extended periods of drought and flooding, and many other measurable impacts. As always, education is the key to understanding and being able to intelligently talk about this subject. Learning through reading about the subject, even reading fiction (some would claim climate change is fiction), can lower the temperature and make people more open to discussion of what is actually factual and measurable and what is just conjecture . Of course there are many articles and books on the environmental impact of climate change, both science and science fiction based, so we should all read. If reading fiction is your escape then may I suggest "Seeds of Our Future" on Amazon and others like it. No matter how we become educated however if we want meaningful discussion of this subject we should start by addressing the effects of climate change even if we cannot agree on the causes or about solutions to stem or reverse the changes.
There is no scientific controversy on the causes of climate change. None. There are three short term climate drivers: The sun, C02 and aerosols. Solar activity has stagnated or fallen since the 1960s while C02 concentration has steadily increased. The reduction of aerosols, which caused "global dimming" also contributed to warming to a minor degree. We know that C02 traps infrared, we know that without the greenhouse effect the earth would be 32°K colder. This is not a matter of opinion. This are simple basic physical facts. We can and must have a respectful discussion regarding what to *do* about it. But the fact that it is taking place is beyond discussion. This is not to say that climate science has all figured out: There is a great deal of uncertainty regarding the various tipping points, also the new figures regarding climate sensitivity used in the CMIP6 family of models is debated. But the *if* of climate change is not. And the projections presented in the IPCC assessment reports tend to underestimate the danger, not overestimate it. For instance, the problems with methane are systematically underestimated because the global warming potential of gases is calculated over 100 years, whereas methane stays in the atmosphere only for 20 years, during which it has the 100fold effect of C02. However, the standard method of calculating it over hundred years dilutes it down to 33 times , even though its short-term effect is much stronger. So we have to expect that it is going to be only worse.

İs present day anthropogenic genetics not a science? İs it not a scientific fact that 99+% of our genes are the same as orangutans and chimps(Dawkins). Then how come that behaivour due to our animal composition is not included in methods to curb global warming and climate change! When are we going to admit that everything started with populations increase following the so called first industrial revolution! It is very disturbing when a minister of the environmet has 4 children instead of 2(Thomas Malthus)! Then how can we blame the orthodox jew in UK having 10-15 children! A devout Catholic having 4 or more, a devote Moslim having 6-10+! Science knows vey well that having more than two children per family will only cause coercion! Thats a law of nature! The third+ child will be sharing the vital natural resources(air, water, land) of the two children of all other families existing at that time! Revelation reads like a really bad acid trip, but what you can be certain about is that the author wrote for his contemporaries. Scholars agree that 666 is a reference to Emperor Nero. He like most early Christians, expected the end to be imminent. So really, it has nothing to do with our days.
Correct physics allows us to understand why greenhouse gases like water vapor (and a dash of carbon dioxide - about 1/65th as much) can only COOL us, which is why rain forests are COOLER than regions with average water vapor. Learn about the new understanding of atmospheric and subterrestrial physics at climate-change-theory.com and in the linked papers and videos. No, it doesn't. Short wave solar radiation passes right through the C02, it is neither reflected nor absorbed. Only the long-wave radiation that the earth's surface sends back into space is trapped by C02. That's very basic physics for you... All you need to verify is a container of C02, and infrared lamp and a thermometer.
@@jochannan7379 Over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers have presented a more balanced view as to the insignificant role of one molecule of carbon dioxide in 2,500 other air molecules that does most of its radiating in bands that are active at very cold temperatures only found in the mesosphere and, in accord with the laws of physics, cannot cause heat transfer into the already-warmer surface as climatologists assert somehow happens. (notrickszone.com/50-papers-low-sensitivity/) It’s sad that so many people are too dumb or ignorant to comprehend the relevant physics which most undergraduates learn in second year in the Physics Departments of recognised universities, as distinct from being brainwashed in the one year course internally perpetuated among those in the infant science of climatology. We find evidence of this kind of ignorance throughout history. You don't know what entropy is and yet you think you can discuss such matters with someone like myself who first studied and taught such physics, marked university assignment papers and gained a degree in such in the 1960's and has subsequently written papers and a book on thermodynamics following extensive post-graduate study in this very specialised field in which I have made an important discovery and have been the first in the world to explain it from the laws of physics which you don't even know, let alone understand. It is apparent that some people think outside the square and make discoveries that, when eventually accepted, improve the science community while others slow down progression. Good job that you have an unfounded opinion based upon the fictitious, fiddled physics of climatology - as such “scientists” pal-review their greenhouse garbage for the gullible and promote, to the delight of the Club of Rome, the biggest scientific deception, hoax and fraud in the history of the world. So we'll leave it at that as you will be way out of your depth since I doubt that you would even understand the seven reasons why experiments and studies of real world data make it just so easy for any graduate in physics to see the errors in their “gold standard” textbook of climatology by Pierrehumbert that I rather doubt you have studied, unless of course you have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo with your calls to authority and belief that it is all about being a PhD. www.researchgate.net/publication/337915619_Cogent_and_irrefutable_reasons_why_carbon_dioxide_cannot_warm_Earth
