'They said' the current jews in the state of Israel are not descendants of the Israel of the Bible. They are the descendants of those who despised and hated Jesus because Jesus called them out for whom they are (Joh 8:44). The reckless and ungodly behaviour of this jewish state is not at all reconcilable with a nation that is 'God's chosen people'. One example, the gang rape and torture of Palestinian prisoners by 'Israeli' soldiers - when these rapist were apprehended, the jewish population revolted and the rapist were released - because their Talmud allows for jews to rape non-jewish people.
